Such as who in particular? Here alone, we got colden/charzino/tristan/poelzig/DC-Fan. Off the top of my head. On the old forums we had Question07 and Wormhole. On top of that, you have to remember everyone who kept saying that the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie would bomb and destroy the MCU. Every single person who thought that also are the ones who hate that MCU is making other characters acceptable and enjoyable. When have those people ever said they were offended that Marvel is raising their profile of those characters? They don't like the Marvel movies but that has nothing to do with them being offended because Marvel made them more well known. A lot of people thought Guardians would bomb. There were articles on the internet questioning that.

When have those people ever said they were offended that Marvel is raising their profile of those characters? Colden saying he thinks every character in the MCU is a D-Lister unworthy of any attention. And the others saying nothing to show they disagree. They're offended that characters like Iron Man and Cap get any kind of recognition, especially ones that rival or surpass movies about the X-Men. The fact this keeps happening (Iron Man 1, then Thor and Cap, then Avengers, then Guardians, then Ant-Man) shows that there's some correlation. People just can't stand that Marvel Studios is making D-Listers into A-Listers.

Most of that was made up.
People never thought than Iron Man, Thor, Captain America or Avengers would bomb. It was said about Guardians of the Galaxy because nobody and heard of them.
Some thought Ant-man would disappoint because of the issues it faced during production but it was never expected to bomb.

These would bomb at the box office and destroy the MCU according to DC- & FoX-men fans. Stop telling half truths.

Most of that was made up. Nothing suggests they weren't serious. Believe me, they did. Nolanites in particular were tearing into Iron Man. Which still doesn't mean that there were hordes laughing about how the MCU was doomed. No, it was expected to flop against Fant4stic.

@carrot Yeah I just said that people expected Guardians to bomb and Ant-man to possibly bomb. Not Doctor Strange but the others yeah. formersamhmdSo a bunch of Nolanites on IMDb teared into Iron Man...ok, there were people that teared into every movie. There were little expectations for Fantastic Four. Ant-man was always expected to be more successful than Fantastic Four.

The Nolanites were offended that every other CBM that came out in 2008 wasn't rated 0% next to Dark Knight, and with every MCU success they got more and more angry.
Other way around, because they advertised it as "Made by the same people who made DOFP" it was expect Ant-Man would be lackluster next to Fant4stic. Even Marvel Studios were a little worried.
When the first Ant-Man reviews came in around 66% there were screams of joy from the Anti-MCU people. When it ended up closer to 80%they were just screaming.

The Antman RT roller coaster ride was one of the best. MCU haters wanted blood behind that score. Hee hee hee...

Ant-Man was expected by some to make a little money, but critically it was expected to do much worse than Fant4stic and have worse legs. The opposite happened, due to Fant4stic totally bombing.
And you're ignoring how I'm right about how the critical score made all the MCU Haters laugh at it...until it ended up at 80%.

Iron Man, Captain America and Thor were much more well known than Wonder Woman by 2015. They probably still are now. No, Wonder Woman is more well-known than Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor. The Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor movies only appealed to kids, mostly boys. The Wonder Woman movie is the 1st superhero move to draw in large numbers of women and older viewers so Wonder Woman is more well-known to the general public than Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor. Halloween was less than a month ago and the most popular Halloween costume was Wonder Woman.

That's why they make the most money out of any other type of movie in Hollywood. Kids saw Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and Wonder Woman. The most popular Halloween costume among girls in my neighborhood was Ret from Star Wars.

Superhero movies appeal to everyone, not just kids. Not MCU movies. Yes, MCU movies. All ages, like any good movie should be when marketed to everyone. Artificial booster, then.

He's not lying. You're just in denial because you make your bed in the DCEU nest. He's not talking about official tracking. He's talking about what DC fans and other Anti-MCU loons were saying and predicting. You obviously had a very sheltered existence on the old IMDb.

That not what he implied hence his comment about how it was advertised and that Marvel Studios was worried, that has nothing to do with fan opinions. Why would it matter in the slightest what people on IMDB said? There were plenty of Marvel fans just the same who thought Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-man would flop as well. There were websites questioning that very thing anyway.

Ragnarok was seen as the inferior film up against JL until it actually came out, and Homecoming had some bad buzz before it debuted too. Even after all their success, the MCU still gets the stink eye.

I think both companies should have a break from making superhero movies for a decade. I was reading an article about Justice League and they said its disappointing figures are a sign of superhero movie fatigue and they should scale back on the upcoming superhero movies and it is looking that way. A 10 year break will benefit superhero movies because it will be new when they come back again. It is time for both companies to move onto something new and original. Marvel Studios can't take a break from making comic book movies for 10 years because that's all they do. They are in fact Marvel Studios. They make Marvel movies. That's like going to any restaurant and telling them to stop selling food when that's all they sell.

Even after all their success, the MCU still gets the stink eye. Well naturally people would see it like that. It was still expected to make a similar amount of money as Justice League though. Its not as though it was expected to make considerably less. I didn't really see any bad buzz for Spider-man Homecoming. The reception to the trailers was overwhelmingly positive. This one trailer I'm looking at has 115k likes to a mere 4k dislikes. The MCU isn't perfect so there's always going to be those who have some issues with things.
