I see this board is still rife with off-topic bad poetry

Goom bye. Don't let the door...well, you know.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Let us now praise poetry,

and dogg’rel in particular:

McGonagall, great man was he,

wrote poems most vermicular.

McIntyre stood most proud

for Canada’s deep freeze:

and he made a case most loud

that poets write of cheese.

And you should not forget, my friend,

the Sweet Singer of Michigan,

who, sundrily, hath writ and penned

rhymes worse than a Gatling gun.


All these are awful poets, true,

but now we have another, new:

this dreadful verse is fin’lly done,

so to poetasters we’ll add this one.

1. No one is forcing you to read a thread you don't want to.

2. You can put a poster on block and designate to not even see their threads.

3. If you look at the time stamps on the latest posts, you will see that very few of the other threads are active during a 24 hour period, unlike the politics board, which is ten times more active.  Meaning this board has not been spammed by any one poster, there's plenty of room for other threads.  You're simply being a contrarian.

4. You could have checked in quietly and made your observation and left without comment.  By posting, you are seeking attention.  And I have given you enough of mine.  Farewell...

A brash cavalier named geode
Was unable to reap what he sowed.
He insulted this crew
And then before he knew
He found that his row had been hoed.
