I've only seen the first three, possibly the 4th, the remake, the clock one, and the one with Bella Thorne. Normally I wouldn't feel comfortable picking a favorite without seeing them all, but I feel pretty confident none of the others are as good as 2.

Gotta be II: The Possession. Who doesn't love a good incest scene? - "C'mon, sis....."

I’ve seen the original and the remake with Ryan Reynolds. I had no idea there were 100 other ones. I guess I preferred the original although the Amityville never did it for me.

Whoa, I had no idea there were that many recent ones. I watched the original series, eight films I think, a couple times, and I've seen at least a couple of the recent ones, but I need to look for those others.

The original Amityville Horror and Amityville 1992: It's About Time (moviebuffbrad's "the clock one") are my favorites, the rest range from mediocre to terrible. Both are good, but so far there has never been a great Amityville movie. The Amityville Horror I like for being so 70s in style, having many classic scenes and a great score, while Amityville 1992 has surprisingly inventive, dreamlike script and is quite well put together in every way.
Amityville II: The Possession is indeed one of the more interesting ones, but what bothered me were the obvious continuity errors between it and the original.
Amityville: Dollhouse is that last one I've seen. The remake, based on 20 minutes or so that I bothered to watch, is typical Platinum Dunes stuff.

I'll stick w/ the original as being the best, even though part 2 is awfully darned fun.

Yeah, this series got resurrected big time after the remake. Pretty much all the new ones look like your typical DTV crap with cheap digital cinematography and horrible actors, but if there are some worth checking out I'd be interested to hear...

None of the Amityville movies are good, but the 2005 version is the best I've seen.
Keep in mind I've only seen the original, II, and the remake so I can't comment on the series on whole.

A lot of the original series was in that vein, but I enjoyed pretty much all of those films. I'll try to remember to post here about the newer ones, although it might take me a few months to get to them.

I saw the first ten listed, had no idea there were so many more. If they're anything like The Amityville Haunting then they're not worth your time. I like the very first movie, Rod Steiger and those flies..."GET OUT!"
