I was thinking bad news for Constantine fans. He deserves a much better show then this. .... yeah... I have thought recently that this show might have been better if it had been more in the vein of Justice League Dark. To that end, I'm a little disappointed Arthur Darville couldn't be that version of Constantine, not that Matt doesn't do a fair job. It does make me wonder how Rip would fit into the show; particularly if Constantine's presence means more occult related stories, which I would assume it would.

Constantine adds so much fun to this show imo and he's a perfect blend of silly and serious that the show lives in at the best of times, that's the problem with a bunch of the characters is they generally exist in the silliness but it's the balance that makes the show work when it does work. Darville I'm guessing failed to be what Ryan can be because of how the people behind the scenes wanted his character to come across, Constantine works because his cockiness and humour comes from his actual ability, he knows he's the dogs bollocks but that he can also make a dogs dinner out of things, where as Rip was just a pompous tosser who we learn repeatedly is a fuck up so why he's so pompous makes no sense at times, amd the fact he's such a fuck up begs the question how did he make it this far? Darville has the talent to be great he's just generally given shit material imo. Benefit Ryan has as Constantine is he's made his version enjoyable to watch just in the performance so even if they give him shitty material his portrayal of the character makes it work, similar with Dominic Purcell as Mick, he doesn't get a lot to do at times but how he delivers what he has is great imo, so long as we don't lose Mick to make way for Constantine LOT S4 looks to be a lot more fun to watch than S1-3 imo atleast.

He's an interesting character and should bring something new to the show. God damn this show needs something because it can't go any further down the shitter. Do the writers even have a plan anymore or is this just the D show to show where all the characters that couldn't fit in the other shows go? Can we send Felicity to Legends?

Do the writers even have a plan anymore They ever had a plan for LoT? Oh they had plans, they just didn't have a lick of common sense amongst the people in charge and it lead us to the shitstorm we call S1, I think the only part of the plan that worked was for Kendra to remind us all in almost every episode what he job was before becoming a mutant, though for the life of me I cant recall what it was...

This. Now this is the most positive post I have seen you write about one of these shows for a while Dazz and I agree with what you said and I think Constantine is going to be a great addition to 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' and he might turn the show around next season. I am still interested in seeing if they add more and Nate and Amaya leave at the end so they can bring some more new faces on board. With Mick having fire powers I don't think we are going to see Jax return with another character to form a new Firestorm 'cause it looks like Mick might end up being nearly as powerful as Firestorm was (in this show) and I think it is fun seeing him with powers. I know some people would rather see him as a villain but Mick is one of the characters I enjoy seeing as a hero now and I think they have gone too far with him now to go back. I always liked his scenes with Ray and you can tell deep down he cares about Ray and enjoys being with him sometimes even though he will never admit it. They have messed up Rip though and I am not sure what they are going to do with him now. I am starting to think he might get killed off at some point unless they are able to come up with a more substantial role for him 'cause he just seems to be there 'cause he is there some episodes and doesn't contribute anything.
Something tells me the human version of Gideon might become a regular since they keep bringing her back and she appears to be popular with the fans so they might make her more like Android in 'Dark Matter' with a robot body. By the way, you posted that GIF of Daniel Bryan. Did you know Daniel Bryan has been cleared to return as a full time wrestler and looks to be wrestling his first match back at Wrestlemania in a tag team match with Shane McMahon against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn?

Can we send Felicity to Legends? No. Definitely no. If they did that the show would be ruined but is sacrificing 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' worth it to fix 'Arrow?'

Yeah when I heard about Bryan I lost my fucking shit, so glad he's been cleared as poor dude was not ready to give up his career just yet, but if he gets hurt again I hope he takes it as a sign and retires under his own choice just to be safe, but heres hoping for a HBK level post-retirement return.
And what can I say every year the stars align and my miserable arse looks to the positive, too bad that Jax cant get the totem to become firestorm again but Mick with powers is fine also, loved Constantine lighting his ciggy off of Mick's flame that was just such a fun little moment, same when JC kissed ole Gazza and is why I like the character so much similar to Mick they can have such fun moments at pretty much any moment.
I wonder if they would go the Andromeda route and have both AI Gideon & Android Gideon with slightly different personalities, or maybe make Gideon an Android then have Rip die but keep AD around as the new voice of the Waverider, it would allow for him to be part of the show but not be needed on set as often to allow him to do other projects more easily.
That or as we saw the Waverider has hologram capabilities let Gideon appear as a hologram when talking to the team.

My first thought with the suggestion of giving Gideon a physical form was Rommy on Andromeda as well. There's certainly some potential in having an android on the team, but I'm ambivalent about it. They have so many characters they don't know what to do with as it is. It also does make me think a bit about Red Dwarf too; Gideon is basically Holly, and giving her a body would make her something short of Kryton. Especially when you consider how Kryton took over a lot of the exposition duties, reducing Holly's relevance in the show. Gideon is such a dues ex machina though. Snart loses a hand, and she can rebuild it; someone ends up in a coma or badly injured, she can effortlessly treat them and bring them back from almost anything (except contract renewals, apparently...); she can eve feed a simulated reality that she controls into someone's mind and make them believe whatever she likes. As I noted in another thread, I'd much prefer to see her go bad; or turn out to have been bad the whole time, and in actuality have been manipulating the so-called legends to do her bidding. I'd hate to see Rip killed off; though sadly for no inherent reason related to anything seen on the show. While I didn't have a very deep familiarity with the character's full comic book history, I was a very big fan of the comic book series that paired him up with Booster Gold, who turned out to be Rip's father. I'm also a fan of Arthur Davill, even if everything about him and how his version of Rip would have been better suited if he were simply Constantine. Nothing against Matt, I watched his original series, and it was good, but just by virtue of how they've written Rip to date, simply changing him from Rip Hunter to Constantine would have, in my opinion, profound implications on the character and his behavior. Rip Hunter is supposed to be methodical and extremely intelligent, while the fly-by-the-seat-of-his-pants approach and often looking like a prat would be typical of Constantine; especially in his Justice League Dark stories. The lies, the selfishness, the plans that regularly backfire... the accent (more or less)... all par for the course for John Constantine. And this motley crew would have make more sense chasing monsters and demons in a house with a literal mind of its own would have beat to hell the idea of them mucking about in time without consequence. You wouldn't even have to change the stories; Vnadal Savage and past lives, the "legion" and the spear of destiny, Mullus - you don't need a time machine for any of that; not really. Would that have made the standards of the writing more palatable? I honestly don't know, but it kind of feels like it might have; especially considering that the stories aren't strictly pure garbage, but more often are just sort of half a bubble off what they could be to make them better. On the other hand, you have Sara and John having sex during the middle of a mission for no other reason than they simply couldn't keep it in their pants for five minutes.

What if they brought in Giddy *android Gideon* onto the show that was uploaded with the factory default Gideon AI, we have both in the show for a season and the reveal of the season is that Gideon is infact corrupted and has been for some time, which we only find out by the discrepancies between Gideon & Giddy's behaviour through the season, and when in the end Giddy links up with Gideon and figures out the root behind their differences, which results in Rip getting killed but brought in as the new AI for the ship, we can even have Constantine use magic of some sort to make Giddy more than just an android as a way to ensure Giddy never gets hacked or corrupted like Gideon did by embuing her with a fraction of each member of the teams spirit or soul forming a true consciousness of her own or some other hocus pocus bullshit.

Can we send Felicity to Legends? Yes, I'd like that. Have the LOT go back to the time of the dinosaurs and drop her there. Seriously though, I think Felicity could fit in LOT and serve at control center while the rest of the team is in the field, kind of like how Iris, Wells and Catlin guide Barry from Star Labs.
