I'm sure there is some genuine persecution (mostly in Muslim nations). Western societies not catering to Christianity anymore doesn't count as "persecution" though if that's what the video is referring to Did you watch the video?

From Muslims to Hindus, from Buddhists to Atheists. Christians are getting targeted from all angles and it's only going to get worse. But as I've said previously those groups all share a common denominator...and that is the same ANTICHRIST SPIRIT. One thing these haters don't realise is that they're actually fulfilling Bible prophecy and thus inadvertently affirming the legitimacy of Christianity. ""Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers"Matthew 24:9 Well, there's a win/win situation if I ever heard one. Don't complain! 200million Christians are being systematically oppressed and you say don't complain?! Go away Goz you retarded despicable bigot.

Don't restrict persecution to just killing. I'm sure you'll find this quote interesting (from what looks to be a reliable source): In my book, Christianophobia: A Faith Under Attack (Rider, 2012), I quote figures from the Pew Forum and the World Evangelical Alliance estimating that 200 million Christians (10 per cent of the global total) are socially disadvantaged, harassed or actively oppressed for their beliefs. www.civitas.org.uk/pdf/Shortt_Christianophobia.pdf
I have no reason to doubt that figure. So, does it mean what you say in your OP that it means? For me, it's an example of the sad truth that minorities get persecuted, whether they're religious, racial, ethnic, political, or sexual. But for YOU, it is proof that there is a God, and that Christianity is his favored and true religion. The persecution, as you put it, is "actually fulfilling Bible prophecy and thus inadvertently affirming the legitimacy of Christianity. ""Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers" Matthew 24:9 That prophesy seems to say that if you are a Christian, you will be persecuted. Count on it. Persecution for a Christian will be the rule, not the exception. But if it is true that (according to Christianophobia), worldwide, one Christian in ten is persecuted, that makes persecution the exception, not the rule.
Your video might serve as a plea for more tolerance. But that doesn't interest you. You'd rather offer it as proof that the Christian religion is the "true" one. By that measure, you fall on your face.
So your post basically comes down to claiming that there are over 2billion Christians in the world and 200million socially disadvantaged, harassed or actively oppressed for their beliefs is not really a huge percentage, so no big deal. Just another example of minorities being oppressed? LOL My post doesn't come down to merely that at all. What it comes down to is that the facts don't prove what YOU claim they prove. I explained why they don't, and you can't handle it, so instead you ignore the bulk of what I said.

Let's not forget how much in the past Christians have vigorously persecuted themselves, whether through religious wars, strife, inquisitions and the Reformation. Or how Christianity has gone after competing faiths with similar zeal. Also someone ought to remind St. Cody that homophobia, and islamophobia come to that, are often closely related to the persecution of minorities.

tpfkar 200million Christians are socially disadvantaged, harassed or actively oppressed for their beliefs. What drama queens those Christians are with their victim complex. Love making a big hoo-ha over a minor issue. You're such a tool! If they're ones like you, it's totally understandable. He is one of the biggest buffoons on this board.

Seems like the only thing bigger than the persecution of christians is the christian lust to feel persecuted. 200million Christians are socially disadvantaged, harassed or actively oppressed for their beliefs. What drama queens those Christians are with their victim complex. Love making a big hoo-ha over a minor issue. Was thinking more of the likes of you than them. Then forgive me.

So you've somehow stupidly managed to come to the conclusion that I enjoy Christians being persecuted merely for having concern for my fellow Christians and bringing this very serious issue to the attention of the board? You genuinely are a tool. You clearly don't have an ounce of compassion or decency in you. Using the suffering of a huge group of people just to have a pop at me? If you don't have anything useful to say then keep fucking shtum you obnoxious little twat.

So 10 or so different posters respond and only one(Cinemachinery) has show an inkling of compassion. Rest of you need to take a hard look at yourselves, ya'll a disgrace.

So what are you bitching about? Why aren’t you celebrating this “fulfillment” instead?

Religious people of all stripes bring it on themselves, because of their attitudes. You think you are right and persecuted, as do Muslims, Calathumpians etc etc etc if they happen to be in a minority due to their strict and unwavering dictates, and often their confrontational prosthelytising. Secular humanists and atheist liberal socialists got over that shit a while ago and want what is best for individuals and humanity as a whole. Religion is tribalism gone wrong.
