lowtacks86 You watched the video but you may need to brush up on your comprehension a little bit. Bible studies are being closed down in California. A bakery in Northern Ireland was convicted in court for refusing to make a gay wedding cake. The owners of a bakery in Oregon lost their business and were fined $135k for the same reason. In the U.K. there are reports of Christian couples being banned from fostering children due to their beliefs. Christian cafe owners are being banned by police of displaying bible verses inside their own premises. Teachers and nurses have been fired for praying for sick pupils. Doctors have lost their jobs for talking about their faith with patience. Certain states are now deeming Christianity "extremist". Christian preachers are being intimidated and jailed by police for exercising their freedom of speech in public. This level of persecution is increasing all over the west. China is not a third world country. Neither was the old Soviet Union where Christians suffered horrifically for years. It's debatable whether North Korea could genuinely be regarded as third-world. Also as has already been pointed out persecution isn't restricted to killing alone. So West's oppression of Christians stands as various examples were provided. As it should be All of the above examples are either Christian prosthelytising, imposition of bigotry or breaking of anti-discrimination laws. The key word here is 'imposition'. These examples prove that Christians are attempting to impose THEIR views on others in inappropriate settings, without consent and /or in vulnerable situations where consent is unattainable, such as doctors, nurses, lawyers ,teachers and other professionals. Of course it is extremist if this is allowed to continue.

Also as has already been pointed out persecution isn't restricted to killing alone. So West's oppression of Christians stands as various examples were provided. "Bible studies are being closed down in California." I'm highly skeptical of that (I live in California and I've never heard of that). Were they teacher led Bible studies in public schools? If so, I'm against that for the same reason I'm sure you're against teacher led Koran studies in public schools. I really doubt private Bible studies were being shut down in California, you do realize we have a high Mexican Catholic population right? "A bakery in Northern Ireland was convicted in court for refusing to make a gay wedding cake." So you believe people should be allowed to discriminate based on their religious views? If a Muslim baker was convicted for refusing service to a Hasidic Jewish couple you would be just as outraged, right? "In the U.K. there are reports of Christian couples being banned from fostering children due to their beliefs." I dunno the details but if they were say Christian Scientists (reject modern medicine in favor or "healing through prayer") or some other wacko fringe Christians, then yeah they shouldn't be allowed to adopt. "Christian preachers are being intimidated and jailed by police for exercising their freedom of speech in public." If they're on the street raving like a lunatic (which is quite common with street preachers), then yeah obviously cops are going to approach them (disturbing the peace is a crime). I dunno about those other examples, but I get the feeling you're omitting a lot of important details. "China is not a third world country." Fine, "underdeveloped" then. My point still stands.

Good.
They could use some toughening up. Maybe they'll do something about it instead of whining like a bunch of little pussies.

My point still stands. There is persecution against Christians going on in the Middle East, south and east Asia, north and central Africa, Europe and America, so sorry but "worldwide" is an apt description. A more nuanced view, with greater balance and perspective especially as far as the States is concerned, can be found here:

LOL, did you even bother to read either story? Both are about violations to zoning ordinances due to these Bible studies hosting 50+ people. If they had all gathered to watch the Super Bowl you could spin it as "man/family fined/jailed for watching football." This is really more evidence of Christians wanting to be given special exemptions to secular law and ignorantly (or dishonestly) claiming the "persecution" is because of their faith.

Cody™God warning us about something ahead of time doesn't mean it's God's plan, dummy. Um actually, the fact that Jesus specifically says that Christians are blessed when they are persecuted, and that scripture must be fulfilled means that it IS part of god’s plan (according to fundamentalist Christian theology) DUMMY. What else could it possibly mean? And if you’d like to say that there are things that go on that are NOT part of God’s plan, I’d LOVE you to take that position so I can show you how that makes your religion look even MORE retarded and how your belief system really falls apart. So by all means, do try to argue that what’s written in scripture is NOT part of God’s plan (if you dare). But I don’t think even you are that foolish! Yeah, I didn’t think so!

Your belated claim that it was concern for your fellow Christians that prompted you to post the video is refuted by the fact that you expressed no concern for them at all, and that the only thing you expressed was (as I said) triumphalism over this "proof" of Christianity being the true religion.
LOL Okay then. If that makes you feel better about yourself then you go with that. Why wouldn't anyone "go with that", since it is your own OP that proves I spoke the truth about it (and you could offer nothing but a mindless "LOL" in rebuttal)?

And shockingly, your examples consist of christians demanding special privileges to ignore the law and your implying that it's persecution if they aren't treated better than everyone else. Gee, who could have predicted such a thing. If this is persecution then good. Christians SHOULD be persecuted. Screw em, they deserve it.

If they can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen, that's what I have to say about that. If that's the best you could come up with, then you were better off not saying anything at all you worthless little worm. Help, I'm being oppressed.

tpfkar That's not entirely true. In America alone we've seen Christian businesses go bankrupt and put out of business by inane lawsuits. Some have even been forced to shut down due to death threats. The video goes over all this and more. Free to be nasty, free to reap consequence. Women shouldn't be presidents, prime ministers or chancellors
