Well, there's also the long hair, and the outfit that exposes his chest. I actually meant to put hair and beard. Don't know why I ended up skipping it. But if hair and beard is all he has in common with Aquaman then you basically got someone who looks like Namor and then tried to dress him up like Aquaman. Yet still give him a personality like Namor. You criticized the costume earlier in the thread because his chest is exposed...but the 90's Aquaman is shirtless with green pants too. He has long hair and beard, like Momoa. I would say that Momoa's Aquaman looks more like this: Than this: You are getting WAAAAAYYYY too hung up on his ethnicity.

I'm actually not the one who brought up ethnicity. I didn't even mention it in my original post. But someone brought it up and I replied to it. And as for your pics, I could easily mix and match pics to show that Momoa looks more like Namor than Aquaman. But someone already posted them back so I won't do it unless you think it's necessary.
One thing you're all sidestepping though is the attitude. From what we can tell from the trailers, Momoa has a fierce and edgy personality that matches more Namor than Aquaman.

I honestly looked for more fierce pictures of Namor and didn't find any... And you seem to be discounting Aquaman's fiercer and edgier nature in the 90's. Yes, Namor is edgier overall, no question. But I simply don't see the "They're making him Namor." argument. I see them using the 90's Aquaman as a template as opposed to the Golden or Silver Age versions. I would be interested in seeing you do what I did qith the pictures but in the opposite direction to convince me of your point. (Provided you use the 90's Aquaman)

No worries, when Marvel does introduce Namor, they will do their usual excellent job of it and everyone will forget the Aqua-mariner.

I'm tell you guys, they did it to make things harder for Marvel when they decide to introduce Namor. Marveltard and his genius logic.

Atlantis probably won't be that Pacific-influenced (Pacifis, ha) if Amber Head, Patrick Wilson and Willem Dafoe's casting mean anything. Just the tattoos.
They approached Temuera Morrison to play Aquaman's American father, so his looks are from that side of the family.
