I just think it's kind of touching, the man you spent 2 years hating, in his potentially final breaths asks you to save his mother, whose name is that of your late mother. personally I would have written the sequence without needing Lois coming into explain it's his mom, since it detracts. ....I can barely get through TIH, for me....it's a nothing movie, it's difficult to watch, so noisy visually and audibly. Antman wasn't very funny in my opinion and lacked a proper personality. oh xmen will be fine, they just need new blood other than singer's. Because he doesn't say "save mom". Supes says "You're letting them kill Martha," which could literally be ANY Martha. Had he had "You're letting them kill Lois!", that would at least tie into the vision Bruce got earlier. "Lois is the key!" Then there's still no need for Lois to intervene, because now she's the one in distress. TIH is about Bruce Banner learning to accept the Hulk as something other than a monster, which leads directly to his involvement during The Avengers. The film accomplishes this regardless of how one feels about the film. You would be in the minority concerning Ant-man. X-Men will never get that new blood, because Fox is run by clueless dullards.

Not sure why differing opinions bother WeirdRaptor so much. That's a strange amount of butthurt for someone to have regarding superhero movies.

Actually, that's just Bruce Banner's character arc in that movie. I'm not sure how you missed it.

now....can we please get back on the Matthew Vaughn topic rather than arguing about why dc sucks or doesn't suck?

I never said DC itself sucked. Just that the DCEU sucks. There is a difference.
In any case, I hate to see any filmmaker have to clean up Snyder's mess. Good luck to him fixing this utterly broken Superman.

It is impossible to find a director for DCEU that MCU fanboys like. Whenever DC tries to court a director like Matthew Vaughn, fanboys are instantly belittling him as if his track record is less stellar than Scott Derrickson's. Vaughn has to clean up a hot mess done by a completely hack. Derrickson got to start fresh with an untainted property. Big difference.

Vaughn has to clean up a hot mess done by a completely hack. Derrickson got to start fresh with an untainted property. Big difference. BvS and Man of Steel are by no means a couple of masterpieces, and Suicide Squad was a pile of shit, but if you really think about it, DC is set up for success. Superman can come back and be "reborn" as a new character and I'm sure they'll make him lighter and more campy. Batman has been given a rich past already that they could tap into at any point, hinting at many different interesting relationships with the great array of villains Batman can tussle with. Joker and his underworld seem to be pretty deep and could be a dark criminal story to look at closer down the line. Overall, DC is simply setting their world up. They haven't done it as well as the MCU did, but that's understandable. The future has to be good for DC, even if it's by accident. Snyder didn't mess everything up. He set everything up. It's time to trust a new director like Reeves (Batman standalone) and Vaughn to build on this world and compete with the MCU directly.

No, Snyder messed everything up. He created a Superman who that's a mopey whiny little bitch who has no desire to be Superman and acts like doing anything heroic is a huge bother, a murderous Batman, and an apathetic Wonder Woman. I'm not asking for a campy Superman. I'm just asking for a Superman who actually takes pride in the good he does. If Marvel can take Captain America, a character everyone thought was a lost cause as far as film adaptations go and turn him into a star that's become of the most beloved film icons of today, then DC should have been able to do the same thing with Superman. But they didn't. They failed, and that is unforgivable. The original franchise sins will never be forgotten (or forgiven, in my case). The DCEU is broken and they shouldn't HAVE to fix it. It should have been good from the beginning, but it wasn't. There is no excusing what that man did to these iconic character. It's just simply too late for me to give enough of a crap about this iteration of the characters to give them another chance. I don't care about any of them. They had their chance to make them likeable and utterly failed three times in a row. Also, the DCEU will NEVER compete with the MCU directly. The only thing they can do to fix it is just to reboot.

If only they will let him do the movie and not interfere all the time. i will see it for sure, Vaughn is a better director than most of the ones who did comic-book movies
