A billion dollar movie IS a failure... if it could have been a 1.5 or 2 billion dollar movie, and isn't. Time will tell. Get back to me in six months. Cash money!!!! Cash money!!!! Cash money!!!! Less and less! Less and Less!! Less and less!!!

You sure that doesn't have any CGI involved?

That was the worst CBM of 2016. It was also a ripoff of Inception. not to forget the main theme was a note by note rip off of the Star Trek 09 theme. I am still lmao at the hilarious Beyonce and magic collar jokes. If HarryPotter movies ever looked like Shakespeare, this was it.

they made an man child universe movie out of it, that is exactly what DC fans crave, silly joking and tension-destroying bathos, cf Joker, WonderWoman, Watchmen, Dark Knight & Co. I'd pay a dollar if they would release the Snider cut already and wipe Whedon's pathetic nonsense out of this film.

this footage looks stunning especially for the time it was made (sans the shaky cam); Coruscant is my favorite Star Wars setting, especially at night, very iconic. Dry desert lands and tundra just don't do it for me in the long run, too lazy, unless they are funky like Geonosis. Hope Mandalorian & Co follow suit with some ambitious world building.

The story could have started with AOTC as part 1, ROTS as part 2, and some great movie about the time between that and ANH as part 3 so we could see Darth Vader AS DARTH VADER actually kicking some ass.
brilliant suggestion, let's replace the first act - setting out the origins and psychological backgrounds, the rise of Palpatine, the world building & duel of the fates - with a episodic snuff film where we see Vader kill off some sorry Jedi survivors...again. I am so looking forward to your envisaged masterworks burning in development hell... cringe, yes a rushed Force-Unleashed video game Vader ripping a giant plot hole right at the beginning of New Hope - utter brilliance indeed. Go watch your Disney movies, Is there even much left to cut off?

I am more a fan of the music, especially the Russians S Prokofjew (Romeo & Juliet), Stravinski (Rite, Firebird) than the dancing, just not into choreographed movement.
Ballet is elitist in the sense that it's usually (classical) high art and not just mass entertainment. But is it negative to prefer high quality food over junk food, quite the contrary.

I have no idea what this is about but the poster alone is a genius riff on Botticelli's Birth of Venus (similar what BvS did). However this one turns out in the end, DC has re-defined and reinvented the genre again. I wish other venerable franchises still had this much imagination and artistic bravado in the tank, a good recipe not to end up as formulaic junk food.

Winter Soldier was ok too, but political? Just a rip off of SW plot points, all with Order 66, brainwashed masked bad guy redemption, Palpatine reveal and Mace Windu. Felt like a generic action film. Elements which mostly appear in Ep III which was released months after Winter Soldier was published. I would like to believe you, but mind tricks don't work on me, only facts. The OT ended in 83; RotS EpIII in 2005 AD. Winter Soldier was released in 2014 (AD). If there ever was a source material published before (setting out the very plot points I named) why not post it here for proper plot beat and publishing date review? I'd like to give this the credit it deserves.

good luck arguing out of Nolan hate rather than artistic merit.Raimi's Spiderman trilogy is great but it will always only be the second-best superhero trilogy after TDK-trilogy...with a big, big distance that is. Check the charts and Imdb ratings. Maybe he takes his Nolan hate to an art form. rather his stupidity to an art form; I just fully read the OP: sometimes stupidity is bordering on trolling. More than ten years have passed and TDK-trilogy is still the top rated trilogy next to LotR, Godfather, StarWars and such. With good reason: this trilogy looks, feel and sounds like a classic, no dated CGI or political messaging or pop soundtrack, just character studies and psychologically motivated storytelling. High quality stuff. And I think most of Nolan movies stink.

Watchmen and Joker, these are great cinematic allegories and politically much discussed.
V Vendetta I only saw once, was pretty ok, and definitely political (and had practical impact).
Winter Soldier was ok too, but political? Just a rip off of SW plot points, all with Order 66, brainwashed masked bad guy redemption, Palpatine reveal and Mace Windu. Felt like a generic action film.

interesting, thank you. I had girlfriends who are what is called covert narcissists. These lack empathy, depth and self awareness. The core symptoms are playing the victim card, passive aggressiveness/cold anger (insults and slander), black&white thinking and seeking narcissistic supply. They will systematically try to mess with your mind by employing silent treatments/ignoring, word soups and paranoid projection and accusations. Facts are not relevant, what they feel at the time defines facts. It's not a curable mental condition, alas. I read that the majority of online trolls and bullies are covert narcissists. The only one who is crazy and deluded is you. You're still here, after all these years. and so are you, projecting. For the record, I was gone for 1 year and only came back in Dec bc of the last SW entry. No movie could possibly destroy anything about my personality structure. But you are entitled to feel that way. Yes I do, easily despite you sporting another name and avatar (Rey). This is bc you have an obsessive posting style that follows a pattern. Its usually insult -> opinion -> angry defamation -> claim & gas lightning -> sth about football/soccer or pop music -> paranoid insult (and then flight). Your pattern is similar to a poster called weirdraptor in almost every way except him gushing about Mylittle Pony and Marvel (not suggesting you are the same person). if you feel so it's fine. Answering to your rants should hardly qualify as harassment. so uncivilized, it's Celtic mythology; also a ground breaking music drama by R Wagner ( Tristan und Isolde, 1865) that opened the floodgates of new tonality (Tristan cord). speaking of uncivilized rant patterns. Btw, psychopathy and narcissism are two distinct anti-social personality disorders that usually exclude each other. There is no need to, but you are entitled to.

I would not say so, they were actually not in that many episodes. The Clone Wars is an ensemble piece with of a lot of lead characters, and having support- or fresh characters sometimes in the lead.
That being said. 6 seasons of canon adventures is still a stretch. But I invoke dramatic license.

"rad" video game slapstick maybe, especially how the AT-ST looks up before crushed by the AT-AT. I know it's not as deep or complex as the spinning wheel car than grows legs and gallops like a horse.... I would hardly ascribe those terms to fanfiction slapstic trying to evoke that hilarious scene of the AT-ST desperately stumbling over Ewok logs. If anything - ship design-wise - the only thing deep or complex is the evolutionary ship design in the Lucas films. Eg in Episode II as told by Lucas in the commentary: We see Obi Wan's triangular Jedi police-car (design-wise) turned into triangular proto-Star Destroyers at the end. A brilliant metaphor of how the republic has militarized and the Jedi are losing power, the empire grows out of the republic like a cancer. as with the balance concept, unrivaled visual storytelling

you are taking online banter about pulp movies way to seriously. You should look up the the meaning of "obsession", especially when used with the qualifier "unhealthy". Sounds more like a projection. Thus bear with me when not taking your distant diagnosis too seriously. Absolute lie and pure nonsense. You're the guy who collectively engaged with fanatics and trolls when discussing this film years ago on IMDB, posting in their threads, hurling insults at others who liked the Disney films, puking out the same demented ramblings of conspiracy theories that you still continue to post to this day. You also dismissed racism and abuse by fans in another thread on here by stating "I've seen worse", like a certain scumbag on the sports board who dismisses the sectarianism/bigotry of his football club, with the same sense of arrogant self righteousness. Now, that behaviour can be described as taking things "too seriously", by your definition. You're also a creep. You opened this clam when you started harassing me 4 years ago, I put you on block, but you still followed me around like a sicko, even when I rejoined here. You're a sick individual. interesting, thank you. I had girlfriends who are what is called covert narcissists. These lack empathy, depth and self awareness. Yeah, I think you and I pretty much agree... Except for the origin story of the main characters... TPM felt more like a "spinoff" or "prequel to a prequel" film, at least to me, and it was not part of the main story line featured in Episodes 2-6. Indeed. The bummer of it is, there have been two separate shows just on the Clone Wars, so Lucas could have easily scrapped TPM and made a movie more interconnected to II and III. that is like saying one does not require the first act of a story where everything is set up - from depicting the heyday and corruption of the Republic, Anakin's psychological backgrounds, to Palpatine's rise to the duel of the fates. This trilogy is clearly structured as day, twilight and night, a 3 act play. It's not about the clone wars, but about Anakin, Palpatine/dictatorship's rise and the fall of democracy and the Jedi. As much as I am a fan of the Clone Wars shows, there is nothing essential for the overall story or substance. It's just a bunch of fun war stories. There is a perfectly good reason why Lucas is hailed a brilliant story teller of our time. Bummer is, everybody thinks himself a story teller nowadays.
