Old Sean: How do you like the whisky? I put aside a bottle of it when I was just a year or two older than you are now. Young Sean: Your memory's bad, old man. I put that bottle aside just last week.

BAT, thanks for the update. I've been off and on (more off than on, actually) these boards for quite a while, so I hadn't really noticed Nora's absence until now, when Jayman's post alerted me. We were about to put out an all points Where's Ellyn Alert on you ! Good weather sure makes for more excuses to be awol from here as much as possible ! Hope you and yours are staying well and safe ! Awww, BAT--that's nice of ya...darn nice. Well, a whole lot has been happening to "me and mine" in the last few months. In the interest of keeping readers from terminal boredom, I'll try to be brief. Late Jan-early Feb: We (my husband, my sister, and I) moved from the Bay Area back to our home area of Southern California. Early Mar-early May: My sister fell ill from pneumonia (not covid, thank goodness), but eventually recovered quite handily (again, thank goodness). Mid May: I slipped and fell, fracturing my wrist (which prevented me from typing until fairly recently). Late July: My elder son, who still lives in NorCal, informed me that he was about to be tested for covid, due to one of his roomies' exposure to the virus. We won't know the results of his test for a few more days; any good thoughts in his direction would be greatly appreciated. Much of the time since May has been spent on recovering from the injury and the resultant surgery (with mucho physical therapy along the way), but as soon as I could type, I needed to catch up on writing my book(s), which further explains why I haven't been much in evidence here, until recently. Sure have missed my fellow IMDB-ers!

I still write in cursive from time to time, but my arthritic ol' piddies are much happier with a computer keyboard (even though I was never a fast, nor skillful, typist--I wouldn't go back to a typewriter, especially a manual, if you paid me a million dollars). As for printing, I do that in an Italic, semi-attached style, which is much faster than block printing and flows almost as well as my cursive. Neither of my sons (one born in the late eighties, the other in the early nineties) learned cursive in school, and the younger one had to teach himself enough cursive to create a signature.

I'm getting adverts for Lexus cars. I drive a totally basic Ford. Someone got their wires crossed. I'm not even shopping for cars since I've been driving the same car for years. I wonder what new advert will pop up now... I have such a low mind. When I read the above post, I put an extra "o" into the third from the last word. Selective dyslexia strikes again!

If there is one thing I really hate, it is testicle trolls! Oh, my yes. Why pick on some poor octopus? Wait...you said "testicle", not "tentacle." That's entirely different...never mind.

Traveling to any country that requires more than one immunization.
Getting my nose, tongue, or any body part below the neck pierced.
Me neither. Ugh.
Smoking. Never smoked anything at any time, and not about to start now.
Wearing super-high heels or pointy-toed shoes (unless the latter should be required for a costume).
Hiking anywhere where the temperature rises above (and stays above) 90 degrees Fahrenheit or drops below (and stays below) 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
I concur with those who have already listed bungee-jumping, skydiving, hunting, and roller coaster-riding.
