A representation of Disney doing exactly that.

Yeah. You have a point but I still think it was a mistake not to establish him as his own character first before putting him with other superheroes and with the MCEU they did that with Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and even Ant Man before putting them with all the other superheroes but they chose to debut Spider-Man in ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and had him tied to Iron Man and then had Iron Man play a part in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ too. I think Peter Parker should have become Spider-Man on his own and garnered up a reputation for defeating other villains and when they finally had him meet the other superheroes he would have been established and experienced. One of the main complaints about Spider-Man in the MCU has been his relationship with Iron Man and Iron Man giving him things instead of Peter making them himself and I agree with some of the criticism.
While I wouldn’t go as far to say he feels like an Iron Man sidekick like some others have said Spider-Man in the MCU does feel like a hero that couldn’t operate on his own ‘cause they have made Peter seem very reliant on Tony Stark and I think he needs to fight his own battles, make his own mistakes and do his own thing like Spider-Man did in the comic books. It also feels like ‘cause the writers have integrated Spider-Man so deeply into the MCU they haven’t really established a ‘Spiderverse’ at this point and while a big part of that can be blamed on Sony since they are developing their own Spider-verse without Peter Parker in it if they ever merge the two and have Peter interact with all the other characters it is going to look weird ‘cause he won’t have any history with them unless they say that it took place off screen.
Warner Bros made the same mistake recently with Batman not making a solo Batman movie before putting him with Superman and other super-powered heroes and now we have Batgirl, Birds of Prey and Nightwing on the way we are left with a ton of questions regarding why they weren’t mentioned or seen in ‘Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice’ and the question of what happened to Jason Todd and all of those things could have been answered and more if they had made only ‘The Batman’ the second movie in the DCEU after ‘Man of Steel’ if they hadn’t rushed ahead putting Batman together with Superman so early but the DCEU has been very rushed with all its superheroes and they rushed Superman too not even showing him starting out at the Daily Planet. We Spider-Man we are yet to see him interact with a lot of other Spiderverse characters like Mary Jane.
I don’t think Sony will take Spider-Man back from Marvel unless ‘Far From Home’ turns out to be this massive disaster that doesn’t even make $10 million at the Box Office but I can see them wanting to put him with their Spiderverse characters if they are successful and it already looks odd having a solo ‘Venom’ movie before Venom was with Spider-Man. You are right about comic book movies coming a long way in the last decade but I still prefer 'The Crow' over all of them and I liked the 'Arkham' games over all the Batman movies 'cause they did something none of the Batman movies have been able to do which is give us a Batman who is the World's Greatest Detective who worked alongside the GCPD and not a vigilante on the run from the law and we also got Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon, Tim Drake, Jason Todd and Kate Kane in them.
Well they kind of did Peter was already Spiderman, he had already created the web fluid his own web shooters and stuff, they just made it smart where HS Peter cant some how afford all the high end expensive stuff so his gear is amateur looking, his actions as Spider-Man are well known enough in CW for him to be the first on Tony's mind to recruit for the team, and in Homecoming the point is Peter doesn't need all the gizmo's his powers and his tools are enough to stop Vulture, he actually fails by relying on the suit, but succeeds when he relies on himself, and when he's acting as a hero to get something, respect, a spot on the Avengers or Tony's approval he fails, trying to prove himself results in mistakes, it's when he does the right thing because he just has to because it's who he is that's when he pulls it off, when you think of it like that the movie is telling you Spider-Man doesn't need anything that isn't his own, and when he does the right thing he does it the right way.
I don't think theres any harm in the spidey verse of things with how he is used in the MCU, so far he's tangled with Vulture, Shocker, Scorpion and Prowler, they just purposely didn't use any of the already used villains in Homecoming because why only use Green Goblin? this would be a problem if the next movie after FFH was meant to be a sinister 6 film featuring Goblin, Doc Oc, Kraven, Rhino, Sandman & Electro but it likely isn't, if it were going to be a S6 film it would likely be Vulture, Shocker, Scorpion, Mysterio & another flunky plus a big bad who brings them together, and even if they say oh this guy Spidey fought before here, is like ok then, they only get 3 stand alone movies theres no way to do a S6 film in that time without either having a bloated villain presence in the first 2 films or saying nah this happened off screen, Sony stand alone universe is different, they need to keep making these films and Spidey is the big draw for them so they could do 6 Spidey films over a decade to build to a S6 film, but Marvel A: only had him for 5 films to begin with, and B: have a lot of other just as lucrative characters they need to market also.
As for the Sony deal, it all depends, Marvel could be like ok we'll have him for our Avengers films, and we'll produce another 4 Spidey films for you, it'll all be in the MCU, but you cannot make anymore spiderverse films, and Tom Holland is off the table for any muture non-MCU related roles as Spider-man, where Sony maybe like no you get 1 more Avenger movie, we'll negotiate Spidey films as they come, and we get to do what we want with the other characters and no stipulations on Holland, or Sony could be like we want more of a say in the films and Disney like fuck you you get less say, we just never know, and that's not taking into account stuff like MArvel demanding they get this rights back or that rights back, or Sony being like no we want control to make a Spidey or Spideyverse live action TV show, we want all restrictions removed from who can be Spidey or what Spiday can be, so if we want a transgender muslim dwarf Spider-man by god we can do it, and MArvel just being like no go fuck yourself.
You are right. They did and they also wiped out a big part about Uncle Ben which was seen as a controversial decision by a lot of fans who believe Peter only became Spider-Man ‘cause of his Uncle Ben and that isn’t actually true in the original ‘Spider-Man’ comic books if I remember correctly and Peter become Spider-Man to get back all the people who bullied him and for his own personal gain but after Uncle Ben is killed he decides to use his powers for good and become a hero. That part has been left out of the movies probably ‘cause it doesn’t make him look very heroic and I didn’t think about it until now but they kinda used that origin in the movie of ‘The Mask’ and when Stanley first discovers the Mask he uses it to get revenge on people and for his own personal benefit but then becomes the hero at the end.
I am surprised they took Uncle Ben out of it though ‘cause the character was so heavily talked about in the other movies and was a big inspiration on Peter’s life and it feels more like in these movies he becomes Spider-Man ‘cause of other superheroes like Iron Man but I am not a fan of how they make him act the same when he is in the Spider-Man suit ‘cause in most of the comic books I have read he becomes a different person when he puts the Spider-Man costume on and he is more confident and not afraid to do things that require putting his life on the line or facing villains. He also pretends he is an adult and people believe he is one whereas in the ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ film it was obvious to criminals he was only a teenage boy which works against him since one of the main reasons he pretends to be an adult is so less villains will work out who he really is and come after him and the ones he cares about like Aunt May.
They might change that in the next movie for all we know though and since that movie was only the first of what I hear six movies they are planning we will definitely see Peter get older in them and we should also get to see a lot of characters and villains we haven’t seen on screen before. With Jessica Drew/Spider Woman reported to be in ‘Far From Home’ now it will also set up a ‘Spider Woman’ film for later and allow them to have an adult with spider powers of her own while Peter is a teenage boy and I will give ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming 2’ a chance. I didn’t hate it like I hated the movies of ‘Faust’ and ‘Catwoman’ which were insults to the characters but as somebody who has been reading Spider Man comic books for a long time it is just different than what I have read before.
I’m interested in seeing what other villains they use in the future movies and am hoping the rumours about Mysterio being in ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ are true too ‘cause he was one of the villains I wanted to see them use the most in the ‘Spider-Man’ movies with Tobey Maguire and Kirstin Dunst and heard there were plans for him to be in what would have been ‘Spider-Man 5’ but I’m hoping he is used right ‘cause if there was one thing I really disliked about ‘Homecoming’ was what they did to Shocker and that had to be one of the worst adaptions I have seen of a villain and he didn’t have any of his powers, his yellow costume and was nothing like he was in the comic books. I mean I am not sure how familiar you are with Shocker but when he is written right in comics, animated shows and videos he is a big challenge for Spider-Man to face and Shocker had increased speed, strength, intensity and hearing, he could send out shockwaves and use air blasts to launch himself into the sky when he was on the run.

That was The Kangaroo, Spider-Man enemy. Actually, he's the second villain with that name. The first one didn't wear a costume. He has one of the dumbest origins. Because he lived with kangaroos he could jump really well.

That does sound kinda dumb and we have had some very weird villains in comic books over the years including many I doubt we will ever see turn up in live action 'cause they are too wacky and over the top but some have been reinvented to be a lot better than they previously were and gone on to become more popular.

I don't believe there is such a thing as a bad character. Just a character who has been handled badly. A great example of this is Kite-Man, who has gone from a joke to very popular just because of one good writer.

There have been some really bad adaptions of great characters in live action that have sadly given them bad reputations among non comic book readers and what 'Arrow' has done with the Black Canary certainly hasn't helped much with the character especially after what they did with Dinah Laurel Lance in the failed 'Birds of Prey' TV show but the 'Birds of Prey' movie has a chance to do something different and give us a Black Canary that is far more like she is in the comic books and is one of DC's best martial artists. I hope we get to see her on her motorcycle, doing her flying kicks and using the Canary Cry to lift her into the air. They should go all out with her this time and make her badass.

Yeah, in regards to Black Canary let's hope third time really is the charm. She deserves so much better then what she has gotten so far.

Now they aren't having her as a secondary character to another superhero in a TV show they should be able to make her like she is in the comic books and not hold back and the same goes with the Huntress and while I didn't hate the 'Arrowverse' version of the Huntress they really messed up making her into a villain when the Huntress is meant to be a superhero and they could have kept her on in the show if they had turned her good and had her as a member of Team Arrow. What is most confusing now isn't what they are doing with the Black Canary but the Black Siren and I think she is going to be a hero from now on and her teaming up with Felicity and becoming friendly with her is their way of slowly bringing her into Team Arrow but I think she should change the name and get a new superhero costume 'cause it is too similar to Black Canary.

I think we need to keep Black Canary as far from Arrow as possible. They screwed her up too many times to given another chance! Fuck those guys!

I can see why you would say that and to be honest, I am not even sure they know what they are doing with the Black Canary in 'Arrow' anymore 'cause with Dinah Drake as the Captain of the SCPD she isn't going around as the Black Canary fighting crime most of the time and then we have Black Siren with similar powers who is now good and is being set up to be a member of the team.
