I really Really REALLY wish that DISNEY would release that statement or something similar to it to All of the " STAR WARS" Fans letting them know that they have ZERO say when it comes to what happens in Disney's " STAR WARS" Movies. The reason why I say all of that (and I know that I am going to be Absolutely DESTROYED for saying it ) is because I really believe that the " STAR WARS" Franchise took a MAJOR Bullet the moment that " STAR WARS" Fans decided that they had the right to tell DISNEY what it could and could not do with it's " STAR WARS" Movies.

If I don't like what they do, they will get ZERO of my dollars.

Well, that wouldn't be entirely accurate. TLJ addressed some of the criticisms of TFA by making Rey a more flawed character and subverting the formula instead of just rehashing it.
But Star Wars fans bitched anyway.

Actually, none of that is true.
The complete elimination of all things OT, as depicted in TLJ, is what they always planned to do, TFA was just a brief reintroduction to the STAR WARS universe before carrying out their master plan.
It's also very telling that TLJ made a lot less money than TFA did.
The moral of the story is this: you can turn off your fans if you want to, but it will cost you money in the long run.

If you want Disney to listen to you, you have to hit it where it hurts - in its wallet.

I think the franchise took a major bullet because they do not listen to the fans.. you end up with a piece of garbage like The Last Jedi which has pretty much put a life long fan and many others of the franchise off the series altogather

Good for you, I can’t see how anyone who loved Star Wars could like it but at least you don’t have to go through the post Star Wars depression that I did,

I can say and like whatever I want. Unlike this dead soulless company that sold out years ago, I actually give a crap about this franchise and no real genuine Star Wars asked for this stupid company to buy this franchise except for senile old OT-only farts that aren't even Star Wars fans anyway.
Disney doesn't deserve any of the cash they have made of this franchise.

Well, pretty much everything in the entertainment industry has to at least make an attempt to please certain people. Whatever the target demographic may be.
If you don’t and just say ‘to hell with you I’m just gonna make the movie I want to make.’ Sure maybe it’ll work out and people will love it. Or maybe it will be a critical and financial failure. A studio like Disney doesn’t really like the latter.

Although I enjoyed the first two Disney Star Wars films, I hated the Last Jedi and lost all interest in future Star Wars installments. I have no plans to see "Solo", "Episode IX", etc.

That's a tad extreme but recently I have been thinking about this. I'll take some bullets for you anthonyrocks, but I think at some point the studio should ignore the fans when making a movie. They shouldn't feel restrained by the fickleness and keyboard ready pettiness that certain fandoms (oh fuck it, the Star Wars zealots). This goes for comic book movies too.

There is no reason whatsoever for a fan to have a say in how a story goes unless you are a fan of Game of Thrones then assume the story will go exactly as they say it will.

But I don't understand how you can lose all interest in all future SW movies based on 1 movie. Even if you hate TLJ that doesn't mean that you won't like other SW movies by other directors, especially if you liked the other 2 Disney SW movies. It seems the same as saying you won't watch any Batman movies anymore because of Batman & Robin, even though we later got TDK (by Warner Bros who also were the company behind Batman & Robin). Even if you hate TLJ and Rian Johnson's directing, I don't understand why you wouldn't be interested in a SW movie with a different director with a different story that you may find interesting.

I get what you are saying, but, because the ( new ) Episode films are sequential, and serial in nature, ( and all made by the same creative team ) a better analogy might be if you hated Batman Forever, and then refused to watch Batman & Robin ( which would have been a good decision on your part! )

To be honest I haven't been a big Star Wars fan since the prequels and special editions. That being said, the story took a major downturn by how they treated Luke. I saw Han's death a mile away but it was far from insignificant at how Disney treated the true LAST JEDI.
No one to this day has explained how someone like Mary Sue can just pick up a lightsaber and do things that Luke took several films (and training by not just Obi Wan, but Yoda as well).

Even if you hate TLJ and Rian Johnson's directing, I don't understand why you wouldn't be interested in a SW movie with a different director with a different story that you may find interesting. Since you brought up Batman and Warner Bros. as an example, consider the parallel of the DCEU. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) was not held in high regard ( 27% critics, 63% audiences). However, Warner Bros. acknowledged the criticism and tried to respond to the shortcomings of BvS with Justice League (2017), and were somewhat more successful ( 40% critics, 75% audiences). However Lucasfilm refuses to acknowledge any criticism, no matter how valid, and instead resorts to name calling and attacking those who dare question their artistic decisions. Therefore, people are boycotting Solo because they know the only way to get Lucasfilm's attention is to hurt them at the box office. As for Episode IX, I'm aware that J.J. Abrams is replacing Rian Johnson as director. However, I am not a fan of any of the new ST characters and I just don't care what happens to them. I don't care who wins/loses, who lives/dies, or who hooks up with who. I just don't care!
