He couldn’t, because it’s just a story that didn’t actually happen.

I don't think he could get all the animals in the world, that we know of today, in to the Ark.
But I think the bigger questions are:
1.) How did he get ALL the animals in the world to the Ark?
Such As: Did the Kangaroos get from Australia to the Ark by swimming across the ocean, or was another boat built to pick them up?
2.) How did the animals get to the Ark in such a short amount of time?
Seriously, just acquiring the cargo for the Ark itself would be a lifetime project...
I'm not saying that there wasn't a Noah or an Ark... But, I think if the story is even partially true... It would have had to have been on a much smaller scale. Probably, a local rancher, and the animals from his community, that survived a local flood.
By The Way. How many animals were there?
Some say "a pair" of every kind of Animal, some say "two by two" (Two Pair?), I have also heard about "a half dozen of each" species...
"A half dozen of each"?
As I said, I don't think the Ark would have been big enough...

I don't think he could get all the animals in the world, that we know of today, in to the Ark. Amusingly, the standard answer to this is why there is such a fuss about "biblical kinds". Because in order to try and make this story plausible, you need to cut down the number of species to the minimum possible amount. So they say one set of each "kind" came aboard... and then make a "kind" the widest possible definition. That's why usually a "kind" is a "species" when you're talking to a creationist, but when they get onto Noah's ark a "kind" suddenly becomes a Genus, a Family, a whole Order - some even make an entire Kingdom one kind, so there only has to be one set of bacteria! And how did all those diversify into the animals we see today? Believe it or not, the believers say it was via evolution. So not only do they believe in evolution, and well above the species level, they posit that evolution used to be massively faster than anything we have ever observed. There are tons of animals that could never have made it to the ark. Many species are limited to one particular environment and would die if they left it - cave-dwelling arthropods for instance, which can't survive in less than 100% relative humidity. How did these make their way to the middle east, of all places? Many are limited to one particular food - did the Koala bears swim from Australia over to Asia? Did they do so whilst each carrying many times their own bodyweight of Eucalyptus leaves on their backs? What about parasitic creatures? If just two (or seven) of each species went to the ark, then how did the parasites that live in them and often kill them make the trip? Did dozens and dozens of extra beetles, flies, moths, etc all make the long journey so that they could give up their lives on the way in order to ensure that parasitic wasps could make it there? And more so that the lethal viruses and bacteria could make it? And how did Noah and his family look after them all? Look at how many people the average zoo employs to look after the animals. The ark was the biggest zoo in history, and it was run by eight people! Exactly. Flood myths are common to most societies, because throughout history most societies lived by water. Even if you're inland you want to live near a river. So most everyone has to deal with floods, just like we still do today. It's easy to imagine a story starting as "I heard about this god who was so awesome, he helped out with advance warning of a flood and they built a boat..." After a thousand retellings, you get the biblical story. Genesis 7:2 : Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female. There are other verses that describe which are clean and which are unclean; there are plenty of both. Not to mention that a seaworthy wooden boat the size of the ark is a physical impossibility. There's a reason all those ark "replicas" the fundies like to build are floating around on steel barges and use construction like this :

Hang on! Isn't it the evolutionary theory that is lacking in logic?

You know how, at the atomic level, all matter is mostly empty space? God just removed the empty space.
The bible doesn't mention this because everybody back then had an intuitive understanding of subatomic physics.

Hang on! Isn't it the evolutionary theory that is lacking in logic? The strawman version of evolution flogged by creationists, yes.

If it literally happened, I figure God just shrank the kids.
Made the lions 1/100 inch tall, and so forth. And took away the need for bodily functions. After all, he's God. That cat God is one bad mother hush your mouth.
That's if it literally happened. I wasn't there, but I'll ask him. He's right over there. No, not there! Over there! Over there! Oh, too late, he moved! You keep missing him.

Maybe all the land animals were babies. Or maybe the story doesn't need to be taken 100% literally.
