That's the thing though. Disney knew about the tweets. If they knew, and then only acted after they became public, that is actually worse. His tweets got brought up in 2012 when he was announced as the director of Guardians of the Galaxy. He made a public apology and everything. BuzzFeed last year brought it up again to Gunn while he was promoting Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2. Which again he apologized for and condemned his past actions. This is the third time it was brought up, only this time it created so much turbulence. Why it blew up this time and Disney responded, I don't know, but apparently this was known for the past 6 years. |

This political nonsense is getting scary now. You can't even make an edgy joke now without some snowflake getting "offended" and demanding a safe space. First Rosanne, now Gunn....who's the next joke teller who gets fired? Surprised Bill Burr still has his show on Netflix.
