Domestic football season 2018-19 is going like World Cup 2018 in that the big teams are not doing that well. In WC, former reputed teams such as Brazil, Germany and Italy (failed to even qualify) didn't do well. At the moment, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona aren't doing well......but the thing is that the domestic seasons are really long and all the teams have time to make up.

wow! Seriously awesome. The guy is going to be the best in the world it seems. But sad that all the best ones seems to be in just one club in France. Pathetic start for the season for Monaco is even more hurting.

The French National team has it easy picking the best 'French' players from just the PSG conveyor belt of talents.
Rebrand 'The League of Talents' to 'The League with PSG, Mbappe and Neymar and a cast of farmers' would be far more suitable for post-brexit stereotypes.

Porto vs Benfica will be biggest and most crucial game of Continental Europe this weekend. Of course in UK, Liverpool take on Man City. Liv v City yugely yuger than the Lisbon derby, imo. Porto vs Benfica is not the Lisbon derby as the clubs are from different cities. Around here it's called "O Classico". en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O_Cl%C3%A1ssicoThe Lisbon derby is between Sporting and Benfica.

Yeah, sorry, got mixed up. What was the score anyway? Benfica won it 1-0. Usually all 3 rivalries (Benfica-Porto, Lisbon derby and Sporting-Porto) end in very low scoring games.
1. Benfica Matches 7 Points 17 2. Braga Matches 7 Points 17 3. Porto Matches 7 Points 15 4..... 5. Sporting Matches 7 points 13
I think Benfica and Porto will fight it out till the end.

Cheers. I never really follow that league. Pretty dull stuff to be honest!

Pretty exciting match going on...Just caught up with last 12 mins of first half and the game is going too fast. Goals disallowed for each teams as off sides. Exciting stuff and I might see a bit of second half too.

Thanks for the heads up. Very impressive record by RM all the same to go goalless only for 4 matches in their history....Teams that have been for so long could easily go goalless in 8 or 9 straight games in at least one or two of their seasons.

Goal at last to end the drought. They looked like scoring any minute. And it came from a defender! After Benzema missed a few that he shouldn't have.
