All religions have messages of peace and love yet all religions are used for wars and hatred...

The point is all religions are wrong. All were made by men. At first when I read that I took it as a sexist comment as if you were implying religions are wrong because they weren't made by women. 😂 Lol no, just humans made religions and mostly wrong leastwise those I know of. Most seem to be projections of human desires and perceptions and most of all prejudices.

-Fatima on Oct 13th 1917 with the 'Miracle of the Sun'. - Eucharistic miracles (one of the stronger cases for God's existence) -Our Lady of Guadalupe (image from the year 1531 in Mexico) -Our Lady of Las Lajas (image on a rock from the year 1754 in Columbia) -St. Pio (1887-1968) etc. but if none of those work for you, nothing else will, because it boils down to this for many... "To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible." - St. Thomas Aquinas "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for anyone who approaches God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him." - Hebrews 11:6 "If I were not a Catholic, and were looking for the true Church in the world today, I would look for the one Church which did not get along well with the world; in other words, I would look for the Church which the world hated. My reason for doing this would be, that if Christ is in any one of the churches of the world today, He must still be hated as He was when He was on earth in the flesh. If you would find Christ today, then find the Church that does not get along with the world. Look for the Church that is hated by the world as Christ was hated by the world. Look for the Church that is accused of being behind the times, as our Lord was accused of being ignorant and never having learned. Look for the Church which men sneer at as socially inferior, as they sneered at Our Lord because He came from Nazareth. Look for the Church which is accused of having a devil, as Our Lord was accused of being possessed by Beelzebub, the Prince of Devils. Look for the Church which, in seasons of bigotry, men say must be destroyed in the name of God as men crucified Christ and thought they had done a service to God. Look for the Church which the world rejects because it claims it is infallible, as Pilate rejected Christ because He called Himself the Truth. Look for the Church which is rejected by the world as Our Lord was rejected by men. Look for the Church which amid the confusions of conflicting opinions, its members love as they love Christ, and respect its Voice as the very voice of its Founder, and the suspicion will grow, that if the Church is unpopular with the spirit of the world, then it is unworldly, and if it is unworldly it is other worldly. since it is other-worldly, it is infinitely loved and infinitely hated as was Christ Himself. But only that which is Divine can be infinitely hated and infinitely loved. Therefore the Church is Divine." - Fulton J Sheen (1895-1979)
Here is something I thought I would quote from your link...

If you're the same Captain Bryce who posted on the old board, then why don't you just remember back to when you identified as a Christian, and answer your own question?

I can see that you obviously haven’t really thought this through so I’ll try to spell it out for you the best way I can... It was the process of answering the question itself that led me to no longer believing. I have found no “objective evidence”, that anything I believed (or that any other theist believes) is correct. Moreover, I have found no reason to believe in the first place (beyond simply people believing what they want to believe). I mean think about it for a moment, can you actually proved a good reason for believing in god (especially your particular version of god) that is not circular? If so, what is it?

I mean think about it for a moment, can you actually proved a good reason for believing in god (especially your particular version of god) that is not circular? If so, what is it? I think how the individual is personally benefitting in certain areas of their life from believing in a particular God would be a good reason to believe in that God from a subjective perspective even if there isn't any objective truth that makes that person believe in it. I learned believing in God the way I once believed in him and the specific things I believed about God were really negatively affecting my life that I had to give up the belief I had in God all-together in order to improve myself and change perspectives and even be more open-minded to other things. I always kept in mind the concept of a God, but only the positive things that are associated with the cultural teachings of God that I find that still helps me psychologically. I gave up the notion of an objective purpose because there is no way of us knowing if there is one. I still think that we as humans created the concept of God and not the other way around. I know there is still a possibility of a God or gods that created us and the universe since we don't know that much about the universe, but I don't think that's really something that's important for us to know when it comes to finding fulfillment in our own individual lives.
