Well... I guess a fig tree would come in handy right about now.  It is sad and such a travesty that this is happening while there are people in the world who have more money and access to food that they don't know what to do with it all.... And... It never changes. The concept of 'God' and religion in general has been used by the powerful to quash and subdue the powerless throughout human history, and it's obvious it'll remain that way.
Religious belief at its most harmless is a delusion, and in its worst manifestations it's tantamount to actual mental illness. And it's seldom possible to convince the mentally ill that they are, in fact, mentally ill. So this sorrowful state of affairs will continue. |

Only 64% people of the country in question are literate. Many of those who are literate may not be educated. Let alone god leaving those babies to suffer, many and in fact vast majority of 6 billion people on this planet have also left those babies to suffer so much. Which at least to any mature person should be far more perplexing and saddening fact.
The fact that this issue has to be politicized or be made an avenue to throw one's agenda is even more shameful.

For those interested, here's a map and explanation for the Yemen Civil War:  There are contradictions in the Wikipedia article but from what I can tell the green area is controlled by Houthi Shiites supported by Iran, pink is Sunni led by the "legitimate" government supported by KSA while the light brown area is Sunni controlled and under Al Qaeda. Is that confusing enough? Well, there are other factions as well but let's stop for now. The Saudis have plenty of armaments but they're notoriously inept soldiers so the war drags on. That's the situation in a nutshell. |
