Religion has two solutions for that problem. One of them, the only one you seem to know, is helping the people with their material needs like food, clothing and shelter. The other way is helping them with their spiritual needs, which means teaching them to abstain from making babies they can't support.

The other way is helping them with their spiritual needs, which means teaching them to abstain from making babies they can't support. (a) Teaching abstinence is not a reliable protection against pregnancy (b) Teaching potential parents not to make babies they can't support won't help the children who are dying as we watch (or choose not to watch) from starvation right now

lol at you sitting there doing nothing as you type this. I could be wrong butt I don't think that he is a person of faith. So he doesn't have the obligation I have? I thought he was doing a comparison I didn't know being a theophobiac meant you don't need to help humanity. I need to learn how to blindly hate stuff more often if it lets me be lazy.

Mankind's failure is God's fault Well, if the god of the big world religions existed... of course it would be. Why? That doesn't make sense until you explain it.

He claimed YOU accused him of standing by idle. The presumption was yours since his accusation was that religion was a part cause or cause of the situation, and/or people of faith hypocritically promote themselves as charitable. We are all responsible for helping humanity especially powerless women and children however if religion is the cause or part cause, then the obligation is more urgent for the 'faithful'.

But it's not our government. It's his too. If he's discussing charity, then he should get off his own late butt to help out rather than googling images. He may be an idiot for thinking religion is somehow more responsible than the government. Heck Christianity doesn't even obligate me to help with government issues.

Obviously that is not really solving any problem. B) Should they learn abstinence that would solve the problem.

Look at all the people with time and resources to spare.

I've explained it several times before... it's ridiculously simple. Nothing happens outside of God's will. Ergo, God is responsible. You were wrong then you're wrong now. Explain, in a succinct manner, precisely how he's wrong. Either all happens as a result of god's will or it does not. Either god is omnipotent or he is not. You stand as the sterling example of the Christian who wants to assert god's supreme power until it lands him in the embarrassing situation of having to recognize that this means god is responsible for all that occurs in the world, good, bad and indifferent. When faced with this, said Christian goes off into vague ramblings about how scripture 'proves' this is not the case, but never seems to be able to state in plain terms how this is so. And no natterings please about Isaiah 45:7 and the correct meaning of the Hebrew word 'rah'.

Where is your god here? There is no god. Sort yourself out. My God has restored and is comforting the children who have died in the joys of Heaven. Your god of atheism is powerless when they die, they simply rot in the ground and are covered by the blackness of injustice for eternity.

What about the children who are not yet dead but are suffering mightily? Do you know what it feels like to go 3 or 4 days without anything to eat? How about going weeks without enough to eat? And without any medicines when you are sick?

And do you know that these children are suffering due to man-made problems? Africa, Asia's problem is not that it has a lack of resources or that it doesn't have intelligent people. It is not "cursed." It has been raped and continues to be raped by colonialists and now globalists who put greed and profit above lives. Humankind has been given the tools and the resources to help all of these children, 1000 times over. We fail because of the people we have elected to represent us.

It is sad and such a travesty that this is happening while there are people in the world who have more money and access to food that they don't know what to do with it all.... The problem is evolution. As Darwin said, the population always rises faster than the food supply.
