That's why I'm hoping technology will get to the point where I could have my brain transplanted into a robot. Though I would probably go insane after the first 1000 years and go on a killing spree.

right after it became politically correct to bury children
if you put a scraper plow on the back of your M60 patton tank as your parading across that desert plank you can bury the children and not have to bother about refueling times although it sucks to have to come up with rhymes for bone meal goulash and what you're now passing off as collateral times.
sjw 09/17/18 inspired at this very moment in time by that very next recycled round of excuses.

Life is not necessarily short.
It is indeterminate.
I had a cousin live to nearly 106.

Being busy and active makes life much more of an effort for me, and makes life seem longer. The happy part, there is only the pursuit of.

I survived cancer and the treatment for it, but that has made lasting changes to my body which limit my activity level. Friends my age wonder why I tire more easily than they do. My body has been through more; chemo nearly killed me. Years later, my immune system is still in the basement of normal, I have physical limitations due to surgeries that cut through muscle. Everyone is different. Do what you can, rest when you need to. Physical limitations cannot be overcome with a positive attitude.

Even seriously incapacitated people can be happy.( at least sometimes if you make it your default as I suggested )

Even seriously incapacitated people can be happy.( at least sometimes if you make it your default as I suggested ) Goz, making 'happy' your default is not like flipping a light switch. I've struggled with depression my whole life. Meds have helped, but not entirely made me happy. When I was on chemo, I was certain it wasn't going to work and I would die as all my relatives had. My chemo nurse told me that I needed a positive attitude!!!.I told her, "Okay, I'm positive that chemo sucks." She stopped the cheerleader act. She switched tactics to quiet support and empathy. That actually helped a little. Genetics, brain chemistry, psychology and environment: we are each at different points on the spectrum.
