Here's a pic of Brie Larson with the military personnel at a theatre. I assume that this was a screening of Captain Marvel for military personnel because her character Carol Danvers is in the Air Force (or Navy).
But why does the military come out for things like this? Brie Larson has not been in the military, the movie isn't really about the military, and most of all this is fake superhero stuff. Its not even a movie like American Sniper or Saving Private Ryan which is really about soldiers and their lives.
Also, they associate with the Punisher character just because he's a Marine, even though its well known that the Punisher is just a psycho vigilante who takes the law into his own hands and kills people (criminals sure, but its still crazy and illegal).
I support our military and I thank them for their service. They deserve all the best. But... wassup wit dis?

Because she has a voracious sexual appetitive unlike the dignified DC female leads.

Politics and pandering to the Republican/Conservatives who have a hardon for the military.

because Carol Danvers is strongly associated with the military/air force I would suppose. I mean literally Thor said "You. Military-industrial-complex drone girl. Bring us beer."

Because they thought it was Shazam.

Because they’re experimenting on them to see if they get angry after seeing it and thus become more effective killers.

Is this a joke?
Captain Marvel is an Airforce recruiter's wet dream. It's what Top Gun was to Naval recruitment back in the 80s. It's a win, win for both sides.

As a matter of fact I'm going out on a limb and bet that there's very little military in the movie aside what little they need to establish that she's a captain. I'm willing to admit that I'm wrong when the movie comes out, but I'm also willing to bet that they'll do very little with the actual military.

You should brush up on the basics of marketing and modern military recruitment tactics. The hot new star of a hot new franchise in a red-hot series is going to stand next to a fighter jet and look impressive. That's really all it takes. No need to re-film Blackhawk Down to bring the recruitment point home. Tom Cruise wasn't in the Navy either. Mathew Modine wasn't in the Marines. If you used an actual war movie as a recruitment tool, you'd probably lose most of the recent recruits you just signed up. Since the fall of communism, war isn't as sexy as it once was. Recruiters from all branches are dying to get their product placed in superhero films because that's where their target audience is. It's no mystery that their supporting this film or Larson (as she is in a demo they don't often get in front of).

Hey, by the way, I prefer your previous icon. This one looks like you've got a sac wrapped around your head. LOL

LOL! Dude, not for nothing, I descend from a very long line of leathernecks on one side of my family. We've served in every major American conflict with the exception of one. I've personally served as well and also worked as a contractor in logistics and analysis for close to four years with two differnt branches of the armed services. So the correct title is Lord "Specialist" Man. This is why DC-Fan's "MCU fans are anti-military" bullshit bothers me so much. And, I kinda like the sock, it's funny and menacing all at the same time.
