Those black things are black pudding (it's a blood sausage popular in the UK, France and a few other places.) Very tasty it is too.

Not for breakfast, but early this morning I cooked a vegetable vindaloo ready for tea this evening... Onion, leek, garlic, sweet pepper, chilli pepper, brocolli, tomato... butter beans, peas, and baby carrots to go in just five minutes before served up (don't want them to go mushy).

Do you put Vinegar in it too? Yes, a good splash of vinegar to give an acidic kick... and usual spices, cumin, paprika, turmeric, methi, kalonji, ginger, etc.

@fjh Have you ever tried the black chickpeas? They are very famous in my part of India. They taste heavenly. I can't recommend it enough.

I like cauliflower a lot. Is a staple in my part. It can also be made in Indo-Chinese style which I like a lot. The black chickpeas you can get from an Indian store and see on youtube how they are made in the best ways.

I'm big on Indian/Pakistani food, but find Chinese dishes mostly too sweet, and too stodgy.
