What do people want/expect? I watched that Trailer before I read comments, before I watched reaction videos, before I came on here. I loved it. That shot where they show the League shoulder to shoulder, transitioning from one close up to the other, the way Flash looks at WW smiling, then they look like Greek or Roman Mythological gods, it's like an Alex Ross painting. Shots of Aquaman close up with glowing eyes and the water/snow blowing on his face, the Parademons, the wide shot of the war (it looks like LotR). There is an EPIC "feel" to this. The shots of Bruce riding the horse to the bay. Wonder Woman sliding (pause it, you can see her ass perfect). It actually exceeded my expectations and looked better than the SDCC special. I had no problem with Cyborg, his CGi looks better than Ultron tbh. Why didn't people complain about that? Is it because part of his face is real and the contrast looks jarring? If he were 100% CGi, it would look better? I mean, if that's your only gripe, you're a loser. At the end of the day, this feels like a modern "Roman Mythology" or "Greek Mythology" Epic. It has a nice look. People complain too much nowadays. I would personally have used Manhunter but Cyborg is fine. People need to chill out and just enjoy this. What a time to be alive? A JL film. Parademons in Live Action! P.S. I loved how they contrasted Marvel's Civil War. The tangline "Divided We Fall" but the JL trailer said "Justice for All" they are both a play on the found fathers ideology of America. But ironically, the JL tangline is more positive and hopeful.

Oh hell no. It looks like fucking shit. 1. The jokes aren't funny. 2. It's clearly a "mile-a-minute CGI action extravaganza." Exactly what I feared. 3. Not one sign of a coherent story in that entire trailer. I don't care if people think this looks good. That's fine. But don't tell me my eyes don't see steaming hot shit. 1.Humor is subjective. 2. 2:20 minutes of footage and you know it's all out CGI action? Wait until it comes out to gripe about that. I have no problem with this as a gripe, but not for a trailer. 3. Exactly. Why would you tell the story in the trailer? That's not what trailers are for, they are to get people hyped, cool action and fun clips. If a trailer tells you the plot, it failed. That's why people complained about BvS. Nobody has yet to make a legit gripe about this as a trailer, it's all speculation.

But don't tell me my eyes don't see steaming hot shit. i think it's a pretty simply story, as simple as the avengers, which is "bad guys are coming.....recruit" plus i think they just crammed in way too much into a two minute trailer...... also it's a very poor song choice (as i've stated 17 times) making everything feel more excessive than it will probably be........granted i could be wrong.
they probably would have benefited from just staying away from the whole modern marketing machine of "edit to a pop tune" because not all films need that.
personally i think it's a "meh" trailer with nice scenes, overshadowed by a crap song.

Of course you're okay with Cyborg. You don't have standards. Considering that we've had decent-looking robo-people on screen for decades now, there is no excuse for Cyborg not to look good.
Too bad the film will be shit. Of course you'd make this about Marvel vs. DC. You can never just leave it alone.

It's a board for DC fans or fans of DC who are willing to give these new movies a chance. You say that you hate when people say that DC and Marvel are the same because "DC sucks". Now he says that they are different on purpose, and you flip out. You stalk these boards and talk about how bad DC is. If they're that bad, leave the boards, then! Who wants to debate and argue about movies you hate? I love Marvel and I have been disappointed with DC, but you've insulted fans of DC one time too many. I've even defended you on these boards before and helped argue points for your side, but now you're just annoying. You always bring DC vs Marvel arguments into focus when you insult DC then play the victim card when someone calls you a Marvel fan that only wants to hate DC. At least give the movie a chance. I love both universes, you can too.

mello and myself have bad blood preceding this website, going back YEARS on the original IMDb when he frequently trolled the boards to all the Marvel films with preachings about how "bad" they all were. As far as I'm concerned, he's a part of the reason the original boards shut down. Also, I've learned to recognize his under-handed word usage which he used to throw at us all the time in the "old days."
No, it's not a board for DC fans. It's a board for DC discussion by fans and non-fans.

I never personally insult him (low blows) just stick to the subject matter, and he still personally attacks me and others. He cannot separate opinions from personal feelings. And I never mentioned DC vs MCU in my OP. I compared the CGI of Ultron and Cyborg because they are similar cases and I said I like how "Divided We Fall" is in the same vein as "Justice for All" He made it into a DC/MCU battle. He was hoping his feeble attempt to twist my words would suck me into a shouting match about it, then he could play the victim and say I attacked him or started it.

Too little too late. I remember you from the old IMDb. You were a prat then, and you're a prat now. You endlessly clogged up the message boards with your crap like the troll you are.
No, you made it into a DC/MCU battle, because you always do. I caught your tone.

It was pretty good. The first major action-centric justice league trailer being narrated by a Beatles song was a very odd choice. I get the 'come together' concept, but something a little more dramatic wouldn't hurt.

If you "believe" you caught my tone instead of just taking what I said at face value, you're wrong. It's all I. Your head.

My biggest problems is that all the night/dark scenes look unfinished. Terribly so. You can tell they are green screened. I'm guessing that one place is Apocalypse. That looks worse than the Negative Zone in Fant4stic. Most of the backgrounds look grayscaled so the actors pop more. Then you have Thorquaman the Submariner. He looks like Namor and acts like Thor. They really should have polished the shots they were going to use for the trailer. Even if it wasn't going to look like that in the finished movie. That Batmobile part when Aquaman jumps at the parademons... sigh. Looks like an old videogame.
Positives... Flash looks like he's going to be good. Wonder Woman all around.
But this video pretty much sums it up. You can see how bad the comparisons are and also how much of a group of followers DC/WB are.

The only complaints that I find particularly annoying are the ones about how a lot of it takes place in nighttime, and how it's supposedly ripping off 'The Avengers'. In the former case, aside from that fact that there were a couple of shots that did appear to take place in the day, such as Wonder Woman fighting in the museum, there's also the fact that Batman is a character who operates exclusively in the night. Just because large portions of a movie take place at night doesn't mean that the film is tonally dark.
That being said, I thought the trailer was okay, but not spectacular.

Of course I have a problem with someone actively wants to see the MCU fail and will clutch at any straws to prove it is. Besides that, I have a problem with you because I know you. I remember what you did back on IMDb. Don't even deny it. The other boot will drop, sooner or later, when you decide you're tired of this "nice" facade.

The daylight shots all have this grayed out look to it. They are actively trying to make themselves look different than the Marvel movies by washing out most of the colors. Also, Batman doesn't exclusively work at night. Are you saying that if there is a bomb set to go off at noon that Batman will just write Gotham off?

Night is when Batman shows up to fight crime. That's when the Bat Signal is able to shine. It makes it much easier for him to operate in the shadows at night. A black and grey suit would stick out like a sore thumb in broad daylight. That's why people complaining about the amount of nighttime scenes really annoys me.

That's when he goes on patrols or does investigations. Most criminals do their deals at night. Or when people aren't at work so he can sneak into offices. Or when people are asleep so he can use theatrics. Was the invading army waiting for night because that's when Batman's suit works better for the background?

Night is a pretty common part of life. This aversion to having scenes taking place at night is ridiculous. There's nothing depressing or grim about nighttime. In some ways, the night can actually be pretty nice to look at. That's when we have fireworks, isn't it?
Complaining about the color grading is one thing, but I've seen comments suggesting that there aren't enough daytime scenes in these movies, which bothers me.

I don't really have time for half baked wannabe franchises. When DC gets their shit together, let me know.

I think the dark color palette is a double edged sword. It allows DC movies to have more polished-looking costumes because, well, when it's dark it's easier to hide flaws. There have been complaints about the MCU effects looking cartoony, but that's because when you shoot a fight scene in broad daylight all the fake aspects of the costume are laid out in plain sight. When the lighting is dark, it allows you to hide the flaws of costumes and special effects easier. I think this is partially why the DCEU movies all look so epic and glamorous. Easier to do so in the dark.
On the flip side, it makes it very hard for the audience to see what's happening. Like, as much as I'd like to appreciate the batmobile I'd actually want to get a good look at it first before I can appreciate it. And what use are all the fancy action shots if we can't see it properly?
Anyway, I just wish the DCEU would allow for a more normal-looking color palette. If you shoot at night then I understand it will be dark, but for heaven's sake can you at least make the daytime shots look like daytime? Because right now even the daytime shots look like they're taken in the middle of a thunderstorm.
