I have been really busy over the past few days and just haven't had any free time to write on here until now. There are still a number of other members I plan to get to on this thread but for now my next 5 are going to be. I should probably put that^ at the start of each of my posts in this thread - as I too only get the chance to type out posts for this thread every so often and there are still more people I'm yet to mention. For now, though... Archelaus – While there are some things we don’t share the same opinion on (in fact, I feel completely the opposite to you on the subject of certain movies), there are other things we *do* agree on and I always like checking out your posts, because sometimes you have posted a picture or said something that I completely agree with and I don’t mind you beating me to the punch, as I wouldn’t have said it as well as you. azzajones – You started a thread for Orphan Black (which I’ll forever be grateful for) and continued to post in there/have discussion about it even when seemingly everyone else had abandoned it. You’ve posted in other threads too that haven’t had much activity, but I appreciate your keeping them ‘alive’. From what I remember of your posts, they’re straight to the point, no beating around the bush. Also, you’re a fellow Australian, which scores you points. Rey Kahuka – I find myself agreeing with things you post quite a bit, and I’m also often amused by pictures you post or things you say (though sometimes I don’t feel the same way as you about something...but that’s okay). Thanks for keeping things entertaining. vegalyra – You’re another poster here who I oftentimes find myself agreeing with. You say/post quite a bit of stuff I like (including really interesting pictures) and contribute a lot to different boards. Whenever I see you've posted in a thread, I think to myself there's a good chance you'll have posted something I like/agree with. redhorizon – Although I don’t play any of the Bakers Dozen games, I do check in on them every so often and have seen that you make a lot of valuable contributions to them. You have posted things in the Random Photos thread that I’ve liked. Thank you for liking stuff I’ve posted too, it’s greatly appreciated. Thank you for your kind words, DebLovesBeccy. I think it's a testament to just how awesome a person you are - the fact that so many people have nice things to say about you (not just in this thread, but other ones as well). This place certainly wouldn't be the same without you. Thanks for being such a good friend and such an awesome person. You're welcome Chalice and thank you. I appreciate the kind words and have to agree with other members like hardball who have said despite your name you are a very kind and friendly person and your username sounds funny and would suit you better if you called yourself Chalice Of Good 'cause you aren't evil.
I hadn't really taken notice of any 'irony' in my name until it was pointed out to me by yourself and others. The origin of my screen name is as follows... Long answer: My screen name came about due to a misheard quote. I used to watch a show called Just Shoot Me!, but at some point I stopped watching it. One of my friends (who hadn't stopped watching the show) filled me in on what had happened and told me of this piece of dialogue that had supposedly taken place in one of the episodes I’d missed: "We used to be friends, Dennis. Don't you remember when you called me during Buffy? When Angel found the chalice of evil?" From that point on, I got a little obsessed with this "chalice of evil". I'd find ways of working it into things, etc. It was just something silly that I liked the sound of for some reason. Anyway, I eventually ended up seeing a repeat of that episode and it turned out that the thing was in fact not called the "chalice of evil", it was called something else. But since I'd gone all that time thinking it was called the "chalice of evil", I stuck with that. After watching the episode 'Scarecrow' in Season 1 of Supernatural, and seeing Meg's mug o' blood that she was talking into/making a 'phone call' on, I thought "the chalice of evil" would be the perfect name for that. It was after 'Scarecrow' aired here in Australia that I first started posting on the IMDB boards. Short answer: It sounded better than Cup_Of_Badness.

Chalice_Of_EvilThank you so much for saying those nice things about me. I'm more like a fly on the wall. I don't have anybody here that I can regard as even remotely close to being a friend. At first I didn't understand your username. Recently I thought it had something to do with your avatar. How wrong I was. I hope I did the tag thing correctly.

redhorizon I too have enjoyed your playing on the Baker's Dozens games and if you are indeed "a fly on the wall", I have never once looked around for the fly swatter ! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

At first I didn't understand your username. Recently I thought it had something to do with your avatar. How wrong I was. I hope I did the tag thing correctly. No problem, Red Horizon. Too be fair, you are half-correct regarding my username having something to do with my avatar. I chose my username when I first registered with IMDB, and it wasn't until recent years that I got myself an avatar. I was posting on a board without an avatar on old IMDB when someone said something like I should get myself 'a real avatar'...and then I happened to see a commercial on TV advertising Game of Thrones and one shot they showed was of Emilia Clarke's character, Daenerys Targaryen, holding a chalice. I was a fan of her character, so I thought that would be perfect and so I chose that. On old IMDB it was just a still shot, but on here I upgraded to a GIF. So, yes, my username and avatar are related. It's just that the username came first long before the avatar was chosen. Yes, you did indeed do the tagging of my name correctly (I think it doesn't work if people try to put the spaces in between each word of my username when tagging. It's all joined together with the @ at the beginning, no spaces).

BATouttaheckThanks! That's nice of you to say. I like being on the Baker's Dozen Board. Though I don't remember you from the old IMDb, you're one of the most familiar players here now.

redhorizon - I have to say that I've rather liked some of your recent avatars. The first one that really appealed to be was - oddly enough - mostly red. It was set in a room with a view out of a large window onto a red landscape. The second one is this one, which I assume is inspired by the robots from the film INTERSTELLAR.

BATouttaheck - While I'm on the subject of avatars, I get the impression that your user name is a play on the Meatloaf album and song title BAT OUT OF HELL... Considering the striking choice in avatars that you've recently displayed, would you consider changing your user name to HUNGRY LIKE THE WOLF? Just a thought... ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

But Emilia Clarke's character is easily recognizable and I knew from which show it was. Haven't seen much of her on screen. Only Terminator Genisys comes to mind.

ant-mac With the trouble I have recognizing my own posts what with the frequent changes in avatar that I am prone to, I better stick with the same user name ! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) I chose the name mostly as a salute to an off-line friend who is a State Park Naturalist and has a degree in BATology and I liked the play on the Meatloaf title. It's also difficult to change the current name to an insult via abbreviation so that's a plus. The alternate name suggestion is open to various possibilities to be avoided !

ant-macThank you ant-mac. I remember my red landscape avatar. It was easy enough to find in an image search. I just typed "red". Even though Interstellar was on my watchlist for a long time, I watched it for the first time only a few days ago. I may have understood about 75% of the stuff in the movie. The rest went over my head. BTW, I've never seen a Burt Reynolds photo looking as young as in your avatar.

For me, it's up there with the likes of 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY, 2010: THE YEAR WE MAKE CONTACT, THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN, BLADE RUNNER, CONTACT, THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL (1951), GATTACA, IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE, THE MARTIAN, METROPOLIS and so on and so forth.
And I would imagine my avatar is a publicity photo of him as the Bandit from the first film in the trilogy, SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT (1977).

teleadm – You’re a large part of what makes the Classic Film board so great. Your posts are always welcome and interesting to read/look at. I enjoy seeing what you have to say on different subjects and also the pictures that you post always interest me. The board wouldn’t be the same without you. jervistetch – Your knowledge of movies is something I admire, and you’re not opposed to posting some pictures to accompany what you have to say in your posts. Your posts in the different games on this site are also to be commended (though I do miss your contributions to the screenshot game). mikef6 - You have a vast knowledge of movies, actors and many other things too. Plus, you don’t mind the odd picture posting. I wish I knew half as much about movies as you. You’re a real asset to the different boards on this site, but especially the Classic Film board. Thanks for helping make it so great. manfromplanetx – You’re another poster on here with superior knowledge of classic films and I enjoy seeing all the different photos you post which I’ve never seen before. Your reviews for movies are impressive also. Thanks for being another poster who makes the Classic Film board what it is. kevin – There’s a lot which you post that I agree with (and some which I don’t, but that’s okay – since you don’t appear to insult others for having a difference of opinion, which is always appreciated). You have a lot of well thought-out posts that look like you take care in composing them. I always like checking out what you’ve written.

I like: Nora for her concise, clear, level headed, and friendly style, and for starting this thread. Nalkarj for him being an old soul, and a friendly gregarious one at that. @marilynluvstigger for being so caring and open. lenlenlen1 for keeping the same avatar so long that I know who he is, and keeping humor in some pretty heated threads, lol even if it's heated humor. Catman for just consistently being Catman, and that's a great thing. And I like Vicki, and she likes me back! And she showed me her boobies and I like them too! I haven't been back on this forum for very long, and I didn't stroll far from other boards here. You all seem great. So many posters I like have already been mentioned. Salzmank's up there, as is Petrolino. The "Mikes", always good. Amyghost, a pal from a while back. Richard Kimble, who knows actors and acting like nobody's business (but his ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) ), but in a good way. Spiderwort's up there, too, in my book.

QueenB – I admire your succinct/straight to the point replies that you post in threads. I’ve found myself reading what you’ve posted and thinking to myself, “Yep, I totally agree with that.” and sometimes I wish I could be more to the point and not ramble on so much. I also think your avatar is excellent. ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/44y2dvnvd/blush.gif) Aww, thanks. I'm always accused of just sticking to yes or no answers without giving much else as far as detail goes. Or even answering a question with a question. I don't mean to do it or even realize that I do it until someone points it out to me. But I do enjoy your posts as well. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Oh and my avatar is my mom's dog on the left and my dog on the right who has since passed and I still miss her everyday. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png)

I would rather not pick five but I would like to say something nice about snsurone. She and I have some very contrasting views about film but her threads are always fun and interesting. She is always kind and friendly toward all of us and deserves a mention here.
