Looks like a poor man's The Avengers.
It will probably, like the other DC movies, make money but be poorly received. Why can't DC make movies as good as the MCU? Is Kevin Feige really that much smarter than whoever is running the DCEU?

I honestly hope it is good. I am so sick of this Marvel vs. DC debate. The Avengers are awesome. Justice League is awesome. Marvel just makes way better movies. I hope this one is good, but I doubt it. The trailer looks bad and BvS was terrible. Still, I never get people wanting the movie to fail. Why? Why wouldn't you want this movie to be good?

I'm indifferent as to what I want from any movie, but here, if it sucks, the entertainment in watching AH Fan spins his wheels and grasp at straws in order to offset negative fan and critic reaction will far exceed that which I would otherwise enjoy while watching CGI characters punch each other for 2.5 hours. |

Cyborg, touche, but I do think youre cutting Aquaman short. I know people who have wanted an Aquaman movie.
Superman/Batman/Aquaman/Wonder Woman/Flash (It seems those are the 5) seem to be it.
I think a lot of people legit do like Aquaman. I mean no doubt Superman/Batman/Wonder Woman are the 3 cash cows, Flash/Aquaman are the other ones, but Im curious why you think no one cares for Aquaman?

I think if they would make it correctly, an Aquaman movie could be for DC what Deadpool or Antman or even Guardians of the Galaxy were for Marvel - a decent movie where your somewhat low expectations would be surprisingly and pleasantly exceeded. As a member of the Justice League, though, how important is Aquaman really? What good is he if whatever issue they are trying to overcome doesn't take place in the ocean? I mean I imagine it like this - Lex Luther: "Give me one billion dollars or I blow up Chicago." Aquaman: "I think I'll check on this octopus over here." It would seem like they would have to force the story to include him, whereas all the other characters are useful in more every day situations (at least in a comic book universe). |

No interest whatsoever in this one. I don't mean to be part of the DC/Marvel fight but I just don't care about the DC films. Still haven't seen BvS and don't intend to anytime soon. Saw Suicide Squad and it was appalling.

Dude, seriously? Iron Man, Winter Soldier, Civil War, Ant Man, Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc. All better than any DCEU movie so far. I actually liked Man of Steel though. BvS and SS were terrible. |

Why the hell is this thread on the "Sports" board? There is a board for Superhero films, and that is where I would intentionally such for this thread. I bet most other people would too. I only found this thread and clicked on it because I used the recent threads option, and if you posted this in it's proper place I still would see it too. 1 - The Superhero board is dead. Why post something that may get one or two responses over the course of a week and then die? 2 - It says "OT" in the thread title. 3 - Most of us know on this board know each other from the old IMDB. We enjoy discussing various things with one another, whether it's sports, movies, music, etc. Who are you to stop us? 4 - Go fuck yourself, you people are the fucking worst. BvS and SS were terrible. Civil War was crap. The entire Civil War movie is nothing but a huge plothole. Iron Man and Captain America fight because Captain America didn't tell Iron Man that his parents were murdered by the Winter Soldier and there was a videotape proving it.
1st, Captain America was still frozen in ice at the bottom of the ocean when the Starks were murdered. How the hell did Captain America know that it was murder and know that HYDRA had a videotape of it, that no one else even knew existed but Zemo miraculously finds 25 years after the murders?
2nd, Tony Stark believed for 25 years that his parents died in a road accident. Didn't Tony read the coroner's report - the part where it says "Maria Stark cause of death - asphyxiation due to strangulation"? Or did the coroner actually rule their deaths a road accident? How could the coroner rule their deaths a road accident when the Winter Soldier strangled Maria Stark, which wuld leave obvious handprints around Maria Stark's throat? Was the coroner just incompetent?
3rd, Team Iron Man knows that Captain America and the Winter Soldier are going to the airport to hijack the quinjet to make their escape. Yet no one on Team Iron Man thinks of saying "Hey, let's disable the quinjet by draining the fuel tank or removing the engine so that they can't hijack it." But then, there wouldn't have been any big fight scene at the airport, and the movie needed a big fight scene, even if it was the lamest fight scene ever in a comic-book movie.
Ant-Man was crap. It was so lame that they even repeated the same one-liner twice ("Baskin-Robbins always finds out.") and it wasn't funny either time. Speaking of Ant-Man, the guy said he wanted to become Ant-Man so that his daughter could be proud of her ex-con dad. But then in Civil War, he fights on the side of a suspected terrorist wanted for the bombing of a government building and he helps that suspected terrorist to escape. Way to make the daughter proud. That was really stupid. There was no reason for Ant-Man to be in Civil War so they invented a reason that made no sense at all.
Avengers was crap. Lame villains. And plenty lame scenes that were completely illogical.
Guardians of the Galaxy was crap. Wasn't funny at all. And the villain, Ronan the Big Bad Destroyer of planets, defeated by something as lame as a "Dance-Off".
BvS was much better than all of those MCU movies.

The entire Civil War movie is nothing but a huge plothole. You forgot to mention your 'How did Tony know where Cap and Bucky were going' plothole. The other nonsense is just your opinion which is very much in the minority. |
