First off Hellboy is a remake people have been clamoring for another Hellboy film since part II but since Del Toro and Perlman have decided to be lazy asses and drag their feet with Part 3. a remake is the best chance to see the character again.
Dora the explorer - I agree who wants to see a live adaptation of this? Minecraft - WTF? Masters of the Universe - hate to sound like a smartass but this has a new release date every year wouldn't count on this one happening I just checked its IMDB page and there isn't even a cast attached to it yet Frozen 2 - didnt see the first one wont see this one X-Men Dark Phoenix - all of the delays has killed my interest in this and new mutants Toy Story 4- meh may see it depends on what else comes out that weekend Joker - Venom was better than I was expecting, could Joker be the same way? Shazaam - so far all the negative rep for this one reminds of Ready Player One (which was very good). Spiderman 2 - I agree if there is one superhero film series that needs to die its Spiderman how many times can they reboot Spiderman? Spidey is quickly becoming the Superman of the 70s. 80s. and early 00s
Looking forward to these Glass The Kid Who Would Be King Alita Battle Angel Captain Marvel Dumbo Pet Sematary Hellboy Avengers 4 Detective Pikachu Aladdin Godzilla King Of The Monsters MIB The Grudge Annabelle 3 Lion King Artemis Fowl Hobbs And Shaw It Chapter II Addams Family Sonic the Hedgehog Charlies Angels Call of the Wild

Have less than zero interest in 100% of what's on that list. Hollywood probably needs to just die off at this point.

Yeah right? And they've as much chance at sucking as the sequels or reboots too like every previous year.

Are they totally jumping the gun on some of these remakes or am I really just that old?

John Wick 3 should be a great trilogy capper though.

Yeah too many remakes, Reboots and sequels/prequels.
On top of that a lot of it's based on comics.
Seems to be the future of cinema.

It might be the prices, the internet (Netflix), the new home media technology, the golden age of TV, the lack of joy in a crammed theatres, but it might also be the quality of their product. A sequel is ok, it's like a second or further season of a TV show, but these remakes and more so these reboots...gosh.

A break up of big media companies is required to free space and advertising for entrepreneurs to offer alternative content. You can forget about current Hollywood recovering--it's in full rot.
It's amazing how they are going into freefall absurdity though.
I predict some weird mashups are coming like
Star Wars crossed with Batman or Lord of the Rings meets the Wizard of Oz. Or John McClane and the Energizer Bunny vs the Smog Monster
They are already mixing famous fairy tale universes.
Another possibility is Trump meeting with sympathetic media personalities (how does Mel Gibson feel about Trump?) to start an alternative media enterprise. At this point it may be the only hope for diverse content again.
Google deliberately killed monetizing platforms on youtube because it was starting to be competition for Hollywood garbage. Can't have independent artists earning enough to keep producing content that is more appealing than what merit-free corporations offer.

It wasn't until the 90s that it started to get boring as sequels began to dominate.
Once the SPFX innovations no longer could dazzle, it got really boring.

its only gonna get worse from here I predict in the next few years we will see big screen remakes of the following
Jaws The Exorcist (^ both of those are inevitably due for a remake)
Porkys Rock N Roll High School (^ same as Jaws and Exorcist Hollywood has been trying to remake these for years)
48 Hours Tango & Cash
and don't get me started on all the sequels we probably have headed our way over the next 5-10 years thanks to all the 18-20 year olds that keep paying to see all the current garbage Hollywood is spitting out Transformers part 12 Fast And Furious part 36 Paranormal Activity part 55 Insidious part 23 Annabelle part 10 The Conjuring part 8 Star Wars part 17
along with a dozen more meaningless comic book films Squirrel Girl - yes I predict in the next 2-3 years we will wee a live big screen adaptation of squirrel girl Toilet Paper Movie - spinoff from the Emoji movie you thought toilet paper was only for cleaning up poop? you are sadly mistakened Boogers The Movie - Another spinoff from the Emoji movie with an inside look at the lives boogers live before they are picked from your nose
as for next year who in the fuck asked for a remake of Pet Sematary. Toy Story 4? Annabelle 3? or Secret life of pets 2?
as long as teens and 20-year olds are paying to see this current crap shoot of movies from Hollywood in theatres it wont stop

However I do want to see a good number of the movies on your list. If we didn't go to them they wouldn't make them. However I do wish they would make some original things to mix in there. Half those movies could be replaced with original fare.
Here's my list (based on yours) of the ones I want to see. The rest I think could be tossed.
Avengers 4 Shazam Captain marvel Hellboy (reboot) X men dark phoenix Toy story 4 Godzilla 2 Star wars 9
So I guess I'm guilty too. The original stuff is in Drama. You have to go see those movies too, not just the pop culture movies.
