I started watching the first episode of this season a couple times but I never got past 20 or 25 minutes. I was starting to lose enthusiasm for the show last season. Anyone feel it kind of picks up?

I am still watching and probably will keep watching until the end, but the days when I looked forward to the start of a new season and to each new episode are long gone.

The best episodes may be behind us, but I'm still watching every week. Tonight is Rick Grimes' last episode so I wouldn't miss that.

I stopped being a dedicated fan after Glenn went under the dumpster. I've caught a few episodes since, but it seems to me like the ZA is really boring.

I lost enthusiasm somewhere around season 6. It's just the same thing over and over. They wander around and find a nice place to stay, but it all goes bad and they're back to wandering around again. There's never any real progress made as to finding out what caused the zombie situation or how to stop it. I just don't like stories which go on and on and on until that dead horse has been beaten flat. From wiki... "In September 2018, AMC CEO Josh Sapan stated that they plan on continuing The Walking Dead franchise for another 10 years, including new films and TV series based on the original comic book series." No, thank you.

I lost interest roughly 20 minutes into Season 2 Episode 1.

I still enjoy the show, but something strange happened just last week. I forgot it was even on until I saw it on my DVR a few days later. The show is just not a priority anymore for me.

I stopped watching after Negan's arrival. He annoys me.

I stopped watching after Negan's arrival. He annoys me. It bugged me the way he throws out his one liners and there's this look of wanting a high five for being so clever and funny. I don't know what was supposed to have made him so bad ass that so many feared him when if others just stuck together he was only one man.

Not really. I'm a season behind.

Of course. Just because it's going downhill doesn't stop it from being worth watching. It's one of the very last few "Golden Age" shows left and should be watched until it's conclusion.

I stopped watching after Negan's arrival. He annoys me. You watched once the show reached it's absolute peak? WTF.

Hopefully he returns later this season. We need to get an Arc at the helicopter people's place with him and Jadis. I imagine something similar to the Beth hospital storyline, but much bigger scale.

I have the last two episodes to watch still. If they didn't kill him off why did he leave his group (and Judith and Michone behind?

But it also doesn't make sense for him to just up and leave Judith and Michonne behind. They said he was supposed to be in 6 episodes this season. Ep 6 is next week. You should catch up. Last 2 eps have been quite good.

They're making it sound like he'll never again appear on the actual show. I would hate for Rick's story to end in these movies, without the gang around.

Yeah, I read about the movies the other night and was just like WTF. Absolutely stupid idea. Unless the movies actually end up just being some double episodes inserted into the normal seasons. Just like they have done standalone episodes for other characters like Morgan and Tara. That would be okay. But concluding his story in a different medium would be a terrible mistake.
