Know all about the brain, do you? I know considerably more than you do, as evidenced by the fact that you routinely post completely ignorant bullshit about brains and consciousness that no one familiar with the subject would ever do. Are you a brain surgeon?

You don't think your attitude may have something to do with how people react to you? What about the attitude of the atheists who are here for the expressed purpose of ridiculing believers? I simply headed them off at the pass. Perhaps they should be as thick skinned as me. 😇

It records everything because what's what it's meant to do. 'Consciousness' per se, has nothing to do with that. You could give a tape recorder 'consciousness' (in fact, the time may soon be at hand when forms of AI will possess it), but when it reached the end of its functional, physical life, you wouldn't expect it to sprout wings and fly off to heaven. Matter is frozen light. Yep, and Bohm, Chopra, and all these other hucksters are genuine quantum physicists. Your consciousness is programmed to accept anything. Except evident truth, that is. Thanks for the lesson, Einstein. Btw, I'm sure you and the other atheists here have your own Wikipedia pages listing all your Cracker Jack degrees, but I find you all to be archaic and dense thinkers. You think every civilisation from the ancient Egyptians to the ancient Hindus to the Native American are all full of crap. Well, that's okay. God won't hold your ignorance against you.Facepalm x 1000.

Are you a brain surgeon? With all due respect to Faustus and his infinitely superior knowledge than yours ( and mine for that matter) I would trust my life to him if he were a competent 'brain surgeon' as that would mean he is a skilled doctor as a surgeon who technically and physically attempts to fix whatever is wrong with my brain. The important part is, however that he has an entire backup team of amazing neuroscientists and other research scientists behind him who have studied researched and experimented in this field for decades now, so that he knows what surgery and adjustments within the brain to make. This body of research proves that consciousness rests in the brain, memory is there and attribution of all brain function is gradually being understood, with many successful rectification to disease possible because of this expanding knowledge or the complex biochemistry and functional anatomy in the human brain. For you to dismiss these facts with your mumbo jumbo quasi religious nonsense due to your own inestimable ignorance, is frankly laughable if it wasn't so Dunning Krugerly inspired, pathetic.

If he 'were' a brain surgeon? Meaning he's not? Well, he pissed all over the work of Wilder Penfield, someone who was a noted brain surgeon. I think you should apply your Dunning Kruger effect on him too.

I simply headed them off at the pass. We are NOT ridiculing believers for their beliefs, we are ridiculing stupid people who know nothing about science, pretending that they do and then extrapolating their total nonsensical rubbish onto the knowledge that decades of research has found and which is doing people with brain disease lots of good and adding to the general human knowledge bank. Such knowledge is also powering psychological and philosophical understanding, and whilst people are free to 'believe' what they like, they discount the accumulating bank of scientific knowledge at their peril. People like you are too stupid to know the difference between facts and fiction. All you do, whilst wallowing in your abysmal ignorance, is make a total fool of yourself, whilst casting aspersions at posters who have more knowledge and wisdom than you could ever aspire to.

What is your reasoning as to why people have said their life flashed before their eyes, or why there are documented cases of people who remember every moment of their life, idiot? Marilu Henner is one of them. For someone who thinks he knows about the brain, you sure underestimate its abilities.

He discovered evidence that it does. No, he absolutely did not. This is a misconception of his work that was spread by bad science journalism, and since all you know about science are headlines you read, you have a bullshit conception of what his work actually shows. More bullshit because all you know are headlines instead of real science. There is no such thing as person who "remembers every moment of their lives". People like Henner, who have very powerful and strong memories, are extremely rare. But no one has perfect recall, as you idiotically believe. Literal photographic memory is a myth.
