Can we say "MCU movies are for children" or "MCU movies are for kids"? That's not the same thing as saying MCU fans are children or kiddies. It's similar to saying " Ralph Breaks the Internet is a kids' movie", which isn't the same thing as saying "Wreck-It Ralph fans are kids". God damnit. I feel like you and are are going to clash alot. Not at all. I'm just trying to get a clarification because I often get attacked for simply stating facts. For example, many people here attacked me for saying that Stan Lee created Stripperella. But I was just stating a fact. And despite what many people think, I don't hate Stan Lee. He created X-Men and Fantastic Four, 2 of my favorite superhero comics. But he also created crap like the Avengers and Stripperella.

If you said that you'd be lying. Lying about GOTG2 just to make a subtle insult is exactly the kind of stuff haunted is trying to stop. You know what you're doing, stop being an ass. You must've missed my valiant defense of Guardians 2. I'd say I at least argued the case to a mistrial. Innit? Wait, is mistrial good or bad? I think you get to discuss again later! Oodles of fun!!! This calls for a lighthearted joke. Power Ranger , whatcha got?? 🧐

As long as I can say DC-Fan is a troll or that DC-Fan is a jerk, sure why not? Because that's not about the movies and is a personal attack. haunted and scabs are trying their best to get some semblance of control here And as someone who has been attacked the most here, I'm all for that. That's why I'm trying to get a clarification on the rules. you can't help yourself but see just how much you can bend and provoke the rules No, I'm just trying to get a clarification on the rules. Like I said, I'm referring to the movies and not the fans. I'm just asking if a movie is intended for kids, is it OK to state that. Just like, if a movie is a "chick-flick", shouldn't it be OK to say that it's a "chick-flick" without getting attacked for saying that?

If DC-Fan acts like a troll (as he's already doing so in this thread) then I can make the factual observation that he's a troll. There's definitely more truth to the statement "DC-Fan is a troll" than there is to "MCU movies are for kids".

So asking for a clarification on the rues is trolling? What have you got against asking questions? We all know what you're trying to do. You're intentionally provoking people and masking it under the guise of "asking questions". You're basically thumbing your nose at the mods right after they said play nice. And even after Haunted clarified his stance you refuse to acknowledge it. Let's call a spade a spade. What you're doing is trying to see how far you can bend the rules. So yeah, you're still a troll.

You basically want to say "MCU films are for children" which is completely false.

It's no different than if I say a certain movie is a "chick-flick" and someone disagrees. That's 2 opposing opinions. So should it not be allowed to say that a certain movie is a "chick-flick" just because someone disagrees or feels offended by that opinion?

DC-Fan to answer your question. No. I'll update the rules and flesh them out more. OK. I work as a Software Engineer and 1 of the things I do regularly is review other programmer's code and try to find bugs in them so they can fix the bugs before the code is installed. And similarly, I'm asking these clarifications on the rules so you can flesh out the rules more thoroughly so there won't be any misunderstandings later on. Glad I'm able to help you flesh out the rules more.

I thought we were just banning personal insults?
( something I am very strongly in favor of )
How is calling a movie a kiddie film a "personal insult" ?

Are you going to abide by it? Unlike that cheater Tom Brady, I always follow the rules. All I was doing to was trying to get a clarification on the rules. Why do you have a problem with trying to get a clarification on the rules? On the Sports board, I asked about the rules on the Pool (not the celebrity Dead Pool game that a couple of people on the Sports board mentioned but the NFL Pool) and nobody there threw a hissy fit simply because I asked about the rules. The Commissioner said the top 12 players at the end of the regular season would be seeded #1 through #12 for the playoffs. I asked the Commissioner if 2 or more players have the same regular season record, who gets the higher seed. Nobody threw a hissy fit and attacked me for simply asking a question about the rules. We need to know what the rules are if we're going to follow them. Why are you against asking for a clarification of the rules?

You'd have to be pretty fucked in the head to want to control what people can and cannot say. Get a grip, people. And to the mods here, instead of telling people to use the ignore feature, you're kowtowing to a mob. You're not solving anything.

Chill a little there buddy. Your questions will be answered. I think they have been trying. I find if I slow my breathing down a bit that helps. It's going to take them a little while to clarify the rules, and I'm sure you won't get banned without trying to go near the limits until they clearly defined them. Now with me... 1 . 2. 3. Breathe in. 1 . 2. 3. Breathe out Isn't that better?

I do think that they should do what they can to eliminate the personal attacks/insults/name-calling such as calling someone "a f***ing asshole" or "a piece of shit" (like I've been called many times in the past). But I'm against censorship to the point that you can't even say a movie is a "kiddie film" or a "chick-flick" because someone will feel offended by that. It should be simple. If it's something you would never say to your boss at work (such as calling your boss "a f***ing asshole" or "a piece of shit"), then don't say that here either. But if you would say to your boss "MCU movies are kiddie films", then it should be OK here too. That's my 2 cents. But they're the mods here and they make the rules here.

Now if my coworker was acting like a piece of shit, I wouldn't hesitate to tell them they're a piece of shit, especially when all they do is troll people around the workplace intentionally flaming and provoking them.

You are correct in that they are the mods here. Issues have been identified, and they are working on keeping peace. They probably are trying to figure out how to keep it from the point of cuss words, and that is tricky, because cuss words directed at someone are often instigated. Looks like they are trying to alleviate that problem at the source. No instigation, no cussing, everybody happy!! At least that's what I'm guessing. So just do those exercises I was talking about... Think happy thoughts too, that's a real good one. Just say what my friend of 6 degrees of separation says: Remain calm, all is well... Remain calm, all is well... Remain calm, all is well... There. I feel better already!
