God damnit. I feel like you and are are going to clash alot. Not at all. I'm just trying to get a clarification because I often get attacked for simply stating facts. For example, many people here attacked me for saying that Stan Lee created Stripperella. But I was just stating a fact. And despite what many people think, I don't hate Stan Lee. He created X-Men and Fantastic Four, 2 of my favorite superhero comics. But he also created crap like the Avengers and Stripperella. Here is a good opportunity for the mods to begin cleaning up this crap. Stan Lee dies and this guy floods multiple boards with Stripperella, not to “simply state a fact” but to belittle the deceased. Pretending otherwise, and trying to portray himself as the victim, is adding insult to injury. And of course, equating the Avengers with Stripperella is clearly an effort to provoke MCU fans. This is where the rubber meets the road. This guy already has a warning, yet he simply can not control himself. Will the mods finally act? ... or is this newest effort to instill some civility going to fail right out of the gate?

I do think that they should do what they can to eliminate the personal attacks/insults/name-calling such as calling someone "a f***ing asshole" or "a piece of shit" (like I've been called many times in the past). But I'm against censorship to the point that you can't even say a movie is a "kiddie film" or a "chick-flick" because someone will feel offended by that. It should be simple. If it's something you would never say to your boss at work (such as calling your boss "a f***ing asshole" or "a piece of shit"), then don't say that here either. But if you would say to your boss "MCU movies are kiddie films", then it should be OK here too. That's my 2 cents. But they're the mods here and they make the rules here. Except you're nobody's boss here. Now if my coworker was acting like a piece of shit, I wouldn't hesitate to tell them they're a piece of shit, especially when all they do is troll people around the workplace intentionally flaming and provoking them. Ummmmm... maybe it's just me... but, I don't call my coworkers pieces of shit, either.

Uh, Raptor openly called for DCF to die not once but twice within hours of the new rules going into effect. That's way worse than DCF simply stating his opinion that, like many people feel about many artists or creative people, he has mixed feelings about the body of Stan's work. I'd be willing to bet that Stan Lee himself preferred some stuff he did to other stuff or maybe even some periods to others, just because that seems to be a common trait of people who spend a lifetime producing art/content/whatever. Innit? So I think the mods have it under control.

Can we say "MCU movies are for children" or "MCU movies are for kids"? That's not the same thing as saying MCU fans are children or kiddies. It's similar to saying " Ralph Breaks the Internet is a kids' movie", which isn't the same thing as saying "Wreck-It Ralph fans are kids". Well that didn’t take long.

That post is clearly a violation of what the mods are trying to accomplish. He is testing his boundaries, seeing what he can get away with. If the mods fail to act decisively, then they have no control. ... and save the “simply stating his opinion” for someone more gullible. That’s a load of horse hockey, and you (should) know it. DC-Fan has never said anything positive about Stan Lee until today’s effort at damage control. he was behaving like a butt-hurt douche after a revered member of the comic book community had passed away. Do you also rever Jerry Sandusky? Stan Lee is a 95-year-old guy who likes to molest nurses and likes to masturbate while getting massages: Stan Lee created Striperella so it's not a stretch to believe that Stan Lee is a sex offender If you look again, Wasps costume also has a hidden cock & balls That might be Stan Lee's design. Stan Lee - ripping off other people's ideas.

So asking for a clarification on the rules is trolling? What have you got against asking questions? I don't think asking a question is the issue, it's the question itself. You basically want to say "MCU films are for children" which is completely false. No it’s not ‘completely false’. Action films in the 80s were made for adults, and would have adult content. MCU films do not, just look at the censorship ratings for example. I once heard film director Paul Schraeder lamenting that market research has determined that the mean demographics for cinema goers was a 14 year old male and big budget films were trying to satisfy that demographic. I like the MCU. But some of the films are more childish than others. Why disallow posters from expressing this?

You must have found those quotes pretty devastating, otherwise you wouldn’t be trying to discredit them. None are out of context. In each case, DC-Fan meant what the quote implied. You, of course, are welcome to search for anything affirmative DC-Fan may have said about Stan Lee. Good luck! Each quote has the date in it. They, as a group, establish a pattern of petty contempt for the man who was so integral to the success of Marvel and the MCU. It really wasn’t all that surprising that DC-Fan’s first reaction to Stan Lee’s passing was to besmirch and mock the man. Go ahead, keep trying to defend such behavior.

If the comments about Stan Lee continue then there will be problems but if these comments are from before this was pointed out and especially elsewhere then that was another time. If you see more like it from now then it needs to be pointed out. I like the MCU. But some of the films are more childish than others. Why disallow posters from expressing this? You can say that. There's nothing wrong with that. Some movies are more childish than the others.

Last time I checked, adults like the MCU too. Heck, my Infinity War showing was 90% adults and 10% kids.

Maybe it's because I'm on my phone. But you avoided answering my question, so I'm assuming most -- if not all -- of them were said outside the "jurisdiction" of these rules.)

Does not this DC-Fan post violate what you are trying to accomplish?... and it was just a little while ago. Clearly an attempt to elicit conflict via passive aggressive trolling. Or are you going to let the trolls have their way and just punish the ones who punch back? How on earth can you not see it?

The search feature did not reveal the “jurisdiction” ... which is immaterial to the point I was making by posting them - which was to establish a pattern of petty contempt for Stan Lee prior to this recent dust-up. This was not a case of “mixed feelings”. It was a continuation of his anti Stan Lee crusade. And he’s still at it! He’s just being a tad less flagrant about it today.

And to think: I personally worked so hard out of the gate to create an inclusive, welcoming place for fans to come and share their opinions about all filmic installments of the saga. I wonder why it's the way it is now. 🤔 I just think people get stuck in the mode of being film critics and forget that they were once fans. Holding on to the identity they feel they would lose if they sought to make sense of things vs seeking to make nonsense. I leave the majority of my thoughts of the Force at a better place now. Innit? I tried a little bit ago, and it hasn't changed here. You embraced the wonderous?
