wmcclain Heck.. he was even willing to play (and great at playing) rather un-likable HEROES !
Rick Blaine is a pretty sulky and unreasonable guy for a good part of the movie.
More often than not he is a reluctant hero.
Many of his other heroes are, even at their best, "cranky"
