Aww I thought you were going to say you got an adorable kitten. Since I got that ginourmous $600 retirement check, I bought $100 in Starbucks gift cards to load onto my app.
lol @ ginourmous
are you retired then?
congrats!
No. I was doing the whole married filing joint 2 incomes thing putting money into a 401K Then my husband died when I was 40. So that money I put in at Married Filing Joint with the assumption I would make less in retirement. No. I'm going to be single. So much for the tax savings. And there went that 2nd income. I got something for a few years because the kid was a minor, but too soon I was on my own income. However, I get his pension, small as it is. Supposed to start when I turned 60. I called them about it. They said IF I was eligible, I would get something in the mail. Then the shutdown. I got nothing from rhem in the mail. So the weekend I turned 60 I happened to find the letter saying I would get $445/month when I turned 60. I called those phone numbers. Emailed scanned copies of the letter to the email from 2001 that said I would get the money. Finally they emailed me back a couple days later to say it was being processed. They had to figure the cost of living since 2001. I assumed I would hear from someone. Silence. I got my bank statement which had the deposits. Woohoo! So it's money to semi somewhat sort of make up for lacking his income entirely for over a decade since the money stopped coming for the kid. And that much closer to my retirement Healthcare is the issue. Don't qualify for Medicare for 5 yrs. Hillary's plan was to drop the Medicare age to 55, but that didnt happen. Biden is saying he will push to drop it to 60. I figure my luck, if Biden is elected it will take a year or 3 to get it through. Worst case? I'll turn 65 before it happens so we're still talking 5 yrs. But $600/month means I can pay off some bills & be in a better place when I do retire. Maybe I can go out at 62 in 2 yrs & afford to pay my own Cobra healthcare with the $600/month. My employer pays $559/month on my healthcare. I understand Cobra means I would pay the full amount + 4% so currently that would be $581 or pretty much the whole check. But in a couple years I can get my early social security of $1200 so paying that out might be more of a doable thing. Yeah, it would be great to wait until I turn 67 & get $1800, but 7 more yrs? Although when I first copied my Social Security stuff down 2 yrs ago, it said I would get $1700/month so if I wait 2 yrs, will my early out be $1300? We shall see.

lol dogs eed a lot of love. we're all to usy to properly care for a dog. =/ between four people and a fenced-in run in the backyard for them a dog will get plenty of love and care. I've been around dogs almost everyday of my live, starting about two days after I was born. they mature quickly and they adapt to the situations in the home. Shirley you're not a speciest, are you? ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/tek3suwt5/laugh.gif) I have had cats much of my life. They are amazing , adorable. There is no more stink involved than dogs. When we had a dog, the back yard always reeked because my husband was lazy about picking up the dog poo. How is that different from scooping out a catbox regularly? Cat purring vibrates at a frequency that promotes healing. Dogs don't purr. I saw an article with one mental health expert who said he used cats to teach empathy to his patients because dogs will take abuse more than cats. Mistreat a cat & they're out of there. Or you get sliced with one of their murder mitts.

Preordered Scream Factory's Friday the 13th 40th anniversary Deluxe collection box set. 16 discs. ![](https://badfeelingmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/unnamed-2-640x509.jpg) ![](https://badfeelingmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Fri13Collect_BD_BeautyShots_WebExclu_72dpi-640x265.jpg) I ordered directly from their site even though it was more expensive than other online sites because of da exclusive lithograph and poster. I spent near a week deciding where to order from or even whether to order it now or wait. So glad i ordered from them because it does also guarantee i will get it. A few hours after i finally ordered, it sold out at their site. And dats it for their alloted exclusive stock. Who knows how many copies amazon and da usual places will get and get more preorders than they get in stock. KI KI KI MA MA MA

i purchased for the shop:
a slew of SSD hard drives, a case of keyboards and mice, a color hp laser printer, 6 touchscreen monitors, 2 other monitors, 3 monitor stands.
for me and the family i bought some digital movies for about $100.
i'd like to say i am done shopping but i cannot resist a good deal to use to stock up my shop.
Took the family out to eat. That might not sound like much, but with a lot of restaurant chains closing down, none of one type was in our state and word was, the last of the others would be closing soon. On a hunch, I looked it up online and the next state over still had one open. Nearly a 3 hour drive, but I thought it would be a nice drive and surprise. We called ahead and they confirmed they were open for business. We made a day of the trip and even had the added bonus of watching a few people get pulled over. All in all, a great day.

well i've not really spent too much on myself this year other than a new hat, shoes, and some shirts so tonight i spent a whole $99.95! i spent that $99.95 to join audible platinum premium membership for a year - normally $149.95 but the reason i did it was because i'd get 12 free credits to spend on any 12 audiobooks they had, and i get to keep them*! *supposedly i already had 2 in my library - i received them for free for signing up to audible in 2015!: odd thomas odd thomas: forever odd the first 3 i am using tonight of my 12 credits: the sword of shannara the elfstones of shannara the wishsong of shannara ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/ebbptzel5/party.gif)

I ordered a gel/memory foam mattress pad for my bed last night (and two new pillows) - which I am *finally* back to sleeping in, after more than a decade (I was sleeping on the couch due to back problems - the scary-looking couch was hauled away Wednesday). Scored a top-rated, 4-inch pad for $80 - was half-off in "like new" condition.
I also bought several pounds of top sirloin (for $3.99/lb.), so tonight's dinner, which I'm cooking for my awesome new PA, will be:
- 2" thick top sirloin steak, cooked medium-rare sous vide, then pan-seared in clarified butter/EVOO - mushrooms sauteed in garlic butter - roasted potatoes (with EVOO/onion soup mix) - broccoli with cheese sauce - Parmesan breadsticks - chilled olives/bell peppers/tomatoes - lemon pudding cake topped with fresh strawberries and whipped cream - iced coffee
It will be glorious.
On the dog will be put.

I bought a distressed denim jacket. I have a summer jacket, and a winter jacket (especially for when it snows, it's very warm), but this is new jacket I got will be my only Fall jacket for the crisp weather, somewhere between a tee shirt and a sweater.
