Whatever helps you sleep at night, troll. You are piping hot, MarvelRaptor. No, that would be you. You've expressed an inability to accept that people like Marvel more these days many times.

Is that why you got so butthurt (and officially became the SuicidalRaptor) after I told you that I preferred the DC movies? "OH BOO HOO! I'M THE ONLY MARVEL FAN HERE! I'M GETTING STEAMROLLED BY YOU DC FANS!!! WAAAHHH!"

I didn't. The fight only started after you called Marvel fans "trained monkeys" when talking about Ant-Man.

I just wanted to make a half-assed Rick and Morty reference.)

It lost me when we saw Superman's birth. Was that really something the audience needed to see? Or was it when Jor-El started riding a lizard? I can't even remember which came first.

But there weren't inherently against anything pertaining to Superman's character. The film only truly lost me when I realized this wasn't Superman in any way, shape, or form.

I could have forgiven Man of Steel in the long run. If Snyder, Terrio, and Goyer had somehow performed a miracle and made Supes more like his iconic self in all subsequent appearances by having the character self-reflect on his initial screwups and resolving to be better, I could have let bygones be bygones. But nope. He actually seemed to regress even more by the time of BvS.

Yeah. I still can't stand how they made a big deal about him representing hope, yet there was nothing hopeful about his outlook or his actions.

"It's my people's symbol for hope. Now allow me to demonstrate that by recreating ground zero with your city."
But to be fair, he was raised by a sociopath.

The fact people defend Pa Kent concerning the bus just baffles me. It's a superhero movie. Why did you even pay the ticket if you're going to side with the guy who would willingly sacrifice a bus full of children.

I hated that scene. We talk about what a travesty this movie was for Clark, that we overlook what it did to Pa Kent. Gone is the loving father who told his son he had a purpose. To use his powers for good. To help people.
Instead, we get a paranoid sociopath who tells Clark he must hide himself from humanity no matter the cost, even at the expense of other people's lives. A secret is more important than a life.
That scene should've gone like this:
Clark: "Should I have let them drown?"
Pa: "No, no, of course not. But you have to be careful."

Well, the film was a travesty to everyone right down to wasting Laurence Fishburne on a minor character like Perry White (he should be playing Martian Manhunt!). Yep, that's EXACTLY how the scene should have gone. Help people but never let them find out that Clark Kent is the superhuman among them.
