They would call themselves MCU fans if they loved black panther since hes been in 3 movies now. And i didnt write the article. Im just relaying it. If Trump lies, and I repeat what he said as if it's fact (when I know it's total bull), I'm just as guilty. Knowingly disseminating a falsehood is just as bad as cooking it up for click bait in the first place. They can be fans of the character without being MCU fans. And again, what does this prove? There are nutjob MCU fans out there, we've had more than a few on this board. Remember the people making death threats to critics over negative reviews of TDKR? I guess all Batman fans are crazy? Just because you are uncomfortable with the story doesnt mean it shouldn't be posted. DC fanatics who threatened critics got wide exposure, theres no conspiracy to hide that.

I'm not uncomfortable with the story. There is no story. "People overreact to something online." Hardly news. "MCU fans overreact to something online," isn't a story either; the fact that they never identify themselves as MCU fans is the point you're intentionally ignoring to build a false narrative. But honestly I'm just as guilty as the folks in those tweets. "False narrative presented online," is hardly a new concept, yet here I am taking part in this discussion. They aren't all MCU fans, just as the TDKR death threats surely didn't all come from lifelong Batman fans. I've spent too long telling you something you already know. Moving on...

The behaviour shown by these people is fanatical so yea, they are MCU/Black panther stans/fanatics. The same can be said of certain DCU fans, that is why I have used it in the past. The only difference being that the post was either edited or it was removed.
It was probably removed because it was another 1 of your bait threads.

It was probably removed because it was another 1 of your bait threads. Wrong. I even remember having a discussion with Scabab about a suitable alternative name.
I am perfectly happy if he wants to leave this thread as it is. It means I can go back to using "fanatics" to describe certain DC fans too.
