Supposedly, they are going to make "The Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns" the Main Event Match for "WRESTLEMANIA 33" on Sunday. If that is indeed the case and Roman Reigns does indeed win and retires The Undertaker (just about everyone including myself thinks it is going to happen) to end the show then it may be the Number 1 Greatest ROYAL Screw Up by the WWE of all time.
What does everyone else think ?

The main event of WrestleMania is gonna get booed for three straight years in a row then. The Main Event Match at "WRESTLEMANIA 31" (Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar) was booed until Seth Rollins came out and cashed in his "MITB" Contract. Then as well all remember, he curb stomped Reigns, pinned him for the 1 2 3 and won the WWE Championship, and that showed ended with Seth Rollins walking up the ramp as the New WWE Champion and also with the entire stadium cheering (not booing).

I would have no priblem with that happening. There's no streak any more. It's a major retirement. Generally people go out on their back with few exceptions. Can't see why the Undertaker should be an exception, and being an old school guy he'd be more than happy to lay down for the top guy in his last match.

I know. I was only referring to the backlash Roman Reigns has been getting for the last few years.

To be honest, if this is Taker's last match my biggest issue with it is the lack of in depth storytelling or promotion leading up to it. Personally, I don't think this will be Taker's last match, I think he'll lose to Reigns but then have his final match with Cena next year in New Orleans...the same place where the streak was broken, and he'll win and retire. Well, that's what I would like to happen anyway.

I think that if it was John Cena, The Rock, or maybe even Sting that was retiring him then a majority of fans would be alright with it.

Thing is Undertaker is such a legend and beloved by pretty much everyone that whoever does retire him wont be very popular for a while.. difference is when its someone half the fans don't like it will only compound the hate.. its its someone like the rock or sting people would be mad for a while but that's it.

So, another reason to hate Roman Reigns.

If that happens then I hope this is the beginning of the end for the WWE.
The fans have spoken. Shoving Cena and other wrestlers down our throats will never make us like them.

And after it happened and the iconic farewell at the end: I re-state they did exactly what they should have done. The biggest star in the company retired a legend and left him in the ring to say goodbye.

Yes it was very moving. Incredible moment. And after 5 hours they needed to do something earth shattering at the end. Taker hits a tombstone 1-2-3 really wouldn't have been worth that wait.

I haven't watched wrasslin in years, but my two cents:
People flipping out because it was Reigns...if an extremely respected veteran like Taker didn't want Reigns retiring him, I don't think it would be happening. Period.

I realize that I am in the minority but I was not happy with what happened to The Undertaker tonight. I really don't think that that was the proper way to send a Legend like him out!

Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Steve Austin, The Rock all went out on their backs: why should the Undertaker be any different?

Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Steve Austin, The Rock all went out on their backs: why should the Undertaker be any different? Technically, The Rock actually won his last match (which was against Erick Rowan at "WRESTLEMANIA 32" and was about 6 or 7 seconds long).

The only way I was going to have any issue with Reigns beating Undertaker was if it wasn't his last match. Since it was, technically the right guy won. I don't hate Roman, I just hate the way he's booked as the next John Cena. The only real problem I had with this match was the match itself. I knew it was going to be bad...and yeah it was REALLY bad.

Honestly WWE f*cked this all up when UT lost to Lesnar.
