Now days, anytime you touch a QB, it's roughing the passer.
No, the rule is anytime a defender touches Brady, is roughing the passer. But defender's are allowed to hit the QB of the opposing team playing the Pats, like when a Pats' defender hit Mahomes on the shoulder and no penalty was called but that same hit on Brady later in the game was called roughing the passer. The key to all that is that when it happened to Brady, the Chiefs were leading 21-17. It wasnt allowed to continue like that much longer after.

No. Of course they shouldn't, and to suggest they should is asenine. Maybe the FG is missed, blocked. Take your pick.
My main problem with these calls is that they are being made by people with no feel for the game. I can live with a blown call in favour of the team that's on top, but a blown call should never ever be a momentum changer. No one goes to a game to see the referees. Yesterday in both games they sought to "let the teams play," which I liked. But in both games they still managed to completely change the momentum in the game at crucial times through bad calls/ non calls. That comes from having no feel for the game, and nothing else.

It wasn't the Rams fault that the referees coach remedial pop warner soccer in their full time.

I'm absolutely shocked that a betting service would do this.
Now every time a bad call happens, their phones will be ringing off the hook...

That was more than just a bad call. That seems suspiciously conspiratorial. It's good business. Their customers were obviously betting on the Saints winning a fair game. Not overcoming cheating referees.

I am so sick of this already. The Saints fans have not stopped since the game and it is so annoying. They lost. Get over it. Bad calls happen all of the time. Heck, there were a number of terrible calls that went the other way in this very game. There were two obvious facemasks that were not called and that delay of game in the red zone was crazy. Every team has had this kind of thing happen to them. The Saints are acting like they are the first team in NFL history to get a bad call. After all of this, the Saints still got the ball first in overtime with a chance to win. Brees threw a pick and they lost. Enough with the excuses.

Why were the Saints even throwing the ball in that situation? Maybe blame Payton for being too cute with the playcalling.

It’s easy to be que sera sera when it’s not your team. If this happened against the Eagles you’d be google mapping the easiest way to make a quick getaway after you murdered the ref.

I would be mad, just like I was mad after that Cowboys game where the Eagles were screwed, but I move on. I have never seen backlash like this. The Saints fans act like the NFL is forever ruined for everyone and the Super Bowl should be boycotted. They had many chances to win and they blew it.

The objective football fan doesn't want a conference championship where one team blows out the other. We finally get two equally matched teams playing a close game. Obviously a game like this can come down to one play, one mistake or one bad call. If the Rams had won on their own, no argument. If the Saints had lost on their own, no argument. But when the refs decide the game with an obvious bad call, nobody objective wants to see that. The referees are supposed to be impartial and fair. The Saints had gotten into position to win the game. And the Rams didn't take them out. The refs did.

Saints had the ball in overtime, right? Just checking..... Never should have gone to overtime. Unless the Saints blew their opportunity to win. Yes the Rams beat the Saints in overtime. So? Just keep screwing the Saints until the Rams can beat them?

Just keep screwing the Saints until the Rams can beat them? Yep, it was an awful call....and the Saints still had a chance to win, and they didnt. Get over it. I remember the Tuck Rule game, the Raiders got totally screwed. And guess what, they still got the ball back in regulation and overtime, did nothing, and lost. Lots of teams get screwed by bad calls, basically every team that's ever existed. But if you get screwed and the game ends, that's one thing. If you get screwed, then still get a chance to rise above it and win, and you don't, then what are you whining about?

I am just stating the obvious. That call decided the game and determined who goes to the Super Bowl. That call was aggregiously incorrect. Nobody wants winners and champions decided by bad calls. They want it decided by superior play.

Technically speaking, I suppose you could say the game was decided by superior play rather than a flag deciding the game.

Regardless of who played better, the score was tied at that point. The Saints played well enough to put them in position to win. The Rams did not take them out of that position. The refs did. Why even play the game if the refs are just going to pick the winner? They should have just said, "We want the Rams to win. No reason to play the game. If you can blow somebody out, you will win. But if the game is close, we are going to decide who wins." No reason to play or watch close games.

The NFL would rather have New England and Southern California in the Super Bowl. Two of the biggest markets. Instead of Kansas City and New Orleans. Two of the smallest markets.
The NFL has a lot of money invested in that new LA stadium. And they have been trying to get back in LA for years.
Its all about money.
One ref was disqualified because he allegedly had ties to New Orleans. Those two refs who blew that call live in LA.
The NFL doesn't care about fairness. It's all about the money.
