Fringe, entire final season. Breaking Bad, entire final season. Completely agree BB.
For me - it's not so much Walt's death - but the crew that offed him who was so conveniently introduced in the last season or '2' - I get 'Todd' was around.
But it just seemed to me like a weak way to off an epic character - would have rather it been somebody around from Season #1 for a more emotional exit.

But thatβs the point. From how he started to how he finished it seemed to be a believable arc that someone in the drug trade would take. It wasnβt meant to be glamorous like Scarface.

I thought it would have been much more epic if somebody that had ties to Walt from the beginning turned on him. Like Walt Jr. If you remember when Walt calls Junior to tell him to accept a package - Walt has nothing to do with him for killing Uncle Hank and called the cops on him for battering Skyler...... I would have loved if we saw Walt Jr. standing there at the end with a smoking gun so to speak...........

Todd and the whole biker gang thing just took the whole show down a notch I thought, always seemed like they just span out another season just for the sake of having another season. Hector blowing up Gus, "I won" and the final reveal of the lily of the valley was just the most incredible way for the show to go out:-

Darth Vader certainly won (or was winning) at that point. But great stories usually show the rise, the fall, and redemption. So season 5 of B.B. started with his fall (the diner and NH scenes), his low point was the death of Hank, and his redemption was killing Todd and the gang and finally admitting that he did all of it because he liked it, not just for the money.

He either had to be killed or be executed. Leaving it go after Fring's death let Walt get away with it.
Amazed no one has mentioned one popular show with a controversial ending yet.

I actually liked the reboot of Dallas. It ended by not being renewed.

How I Met Your Mother!
Even though the episode was great, I wasn't crazy on how Angel ended.

Soap
I think they were going to bring it back to finish the cliffhangers we were all left with but then decided not to.

Not that I was a massive fan of either anyways, but the endings of Lost and How I Met Your Mother completely sucked and blowed to steal a phrase from Bart Simpson. Dexter was meh, as was Seinfeld. The Sopranos did only what it could, as did Braking Bad and Sons of Anarchy. The problem with those types of shows is that there is very little scope of what can happen to the main protagonist that fits the narrative of the show.

Re-watching Season 1 of Twin Peaks.
Glorious. Great actors. Character development. Atmosphere. Musical Score. Setting Tone.
Humor placed in the right spots. Quirky, eerie, creepy - hysterical at the same time.
Apple pie and coffee.
Maybe I'm holding a 25 year old grudge - and do not accept those that say - well - that's just 'Lynch' - and I love me some horror and movies/shows that are left up for interpretation....
but......
I really don't appreciate the Twilight Zone/ X-Files turn this beauty swerved into...........

Most of you are too young to remember "Dallas", but for a top tiered show for over a decade it had a very lame ending. The fans were outraged!

My pics Dexter Lost Deadwood What's yours? Deadwood was cancelled hence the ending but the new film has been shot now and will hopefully be with us before too long.

A lot of votes for LOST but the whole show was garbage so I'm not sure why a lousy ending was surprising.

A lot of votes for LOST but the whole show was garbage so I'm not sure why a lousy ending was surprising. I imagine the shows with the worst endings would just be the worst shows anyway. Like wouldn't 2 Broke Girls, being the worst series in history, most likely have the worst ending as well? But most of us probably don't continue watching shows that we find to be awful, so I guess this is most likely just the most disappointing series finales. I tried to start watching Lost early on but I never found anything interesting about it, so I can't really comment.
