The Steelers won a playoff game with the Immaculate Reception. They didn't win the Super Bowl that season, but that propelled them to multiple Super Bowl wins over the next 6 seasons.
The 49ers had Dwight Clark's catch, which propelled them to 4 Super Bowl wins in 9 years.
The Patriots were saved from playoff elimination by a blown call on the Tuck Rule play and then, with the help of cheating, got to multiple Super Bowls.
The Rams have an excellent young head coach and several good young players at key positions. Will the PI no-call be the play that propels them to multiple Super Bowl wins over the next few years?

Now that you’ve made this thread, probably not.

I guarantee the Rams will win the next 5 Super Bowls.
Since we already got a jinx thread going on, why not go full in?

They won’t, and neither will the Cowboys.

The Patriots were saved from playoff elimination by a blown call on the Tuck Rule play and then, with the help of cheating, got to multiple Super Bowls. It was not a blown call. You said the "BALL DON'T LIE." The Patriots went on to kick two incredibly difficult field goals. If it was a bad call, they would have missed either or both of them. They didn't, and the BALL DON'T LIE!

People said this about the 1984 Dolphins, after sophomore Dan Marino threw for 5000 years and led the Fishies to the SB People said this about the 1985 Bears after they went 15-1 and shredded the league.
You never know...

You never know... But neither the 1984 Dolphins nor 1985 Bears survived a playoff game due to 1 memorable play. The Steelers would've lost that playoff game to the Raiders if not for the Immaculate Reception. The 49ers would've lost the NFC Championship to the Cowboys if not for that lucky play where Montana tried to throw the ball out of the back of the end zone but was throwing off-balance and didn't get enough on the ball and Dwight Clark just happened to be in the right place at the right time. And the Patriots had lost that playoff game to the Raiders (the Raiders had recovered Brady's fumble and all the Raiders had to do was kneel down a few times to win), but (like umpire Don Denkinger in the 1985 World Series), referee Walt Coleman blew the call and inexplicably reversed the fumble call under orders from Roger Goodell (Robert Kraft's best friend). Now people are saying the Rams would've lost to the Saints if the PI had been called. So like those other teams, the Rams were survived playoff elimination due to 1 memorable play.

As the NFL's COO, Goodell took responsibility for the league's football operations and officiatingThat's right. Roger Goodell, Robert Kraft's best friend, was in charge of officiating when Walt Coleman made the blown call on Brady's fumble. That explains why Coleman inexplicable reversed Brady's fumble and basically reversed a Patriots' playoff loss to the Raiders.

And two weeks into his new roll he probably helped the man who probably got him the promotion, all under the nose of then Commissioner Paul Tagliabue. Weird that he would risk everything when the ball could easily have gone wide right. But the point is moot, as Walt Coleman ruled correctly on that play. How do I know? THE BALL DON'T LIE! -DC-Fan

Minnesota was in the Super Bowl last year? Exactly So basically this thread doesn't apply to Minnesota and you're too dumb to understand it. But I'll explain it to you more slowly. 1. This Rams team under Sean McVay and with these young players haven't won a Super Bowl yet. 2. This Rams team under Sean MvCay is playing in their 1st Super Bowl (something which didn't happen for Minnesota and thus this thread doesn't apply to Minnesota). 3. The Rams survived playoff elimination due to 1 memorable play. So the question is: Will that 1 memorable play propel this young, talented Rams team to multiple Super Bowl wins over the next few years, similar to what the Immaculate Reception did for the Steelers, Dwight Clark's lucky catch did for the 49ers, nd Walt Coleman's blown call on Brady's fumble (as well as SpyGate and DeflateGate) did for the Patriots?

You call me dumb but yet you keep including the patriots even though they don't fall into your own oddly specific pattern. They were not the beneficiaries of a lucky play by your definition, as it was the right call. How do I know? BALL DON'T LIE! -DC-Fan
