Then how will they use the character in future Justice League movies? Will they recast older Batman and keep it as separate canon or just use younger Batman and pretend that the first JL didn't exist?

As far as I know the solo Batman movie will take place long before Man of Steel and it’ll be the younger version of Affleck’s Bruce.
That might change or I could be misinterpreting Reeves’ comments, but I believe that’s what they’re going for.

Honestly , I have no clue lol. I hated that the DC heroes all teamed up to fight big cgi villains for Justice League ugh. Just leave that teaming up shit to the MCU . Would be a lot cooler if DC just kept their heroes in separate universes . Just my 2 cents.

But I agree they should abandon the whole CGi alien baddie trope. It's been done. Have the team fight a different set of villains. |

But it means that no matter how popular, the Reeves Batman can never be in movies with the other characters. It's like if the MCU had two different Iron Mans. |

In hindsight, I wish they would've made trilogies for Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman somewhat concurrently with one another, kept them in the same universe but mostly stand alone, THEN made a Justice League film way down the road after we've seen plenty of their own adventures.

In hindsight, I wish they would've made trilogies for Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman somewhat concurrently with one another, kept them in the same universe but mostly stand alone, THEN made a Justice League film way down the road after we've seen plenty of their own adventures.
That would've been fantastic. It also would've allowed them to course correct individual adaptations before it was too late. They basically put all their eggs in one basket... And Zack Snyder dropped it. |

This is why Armie Hammer is a good choice even if WB doesn’t pick him because his bad luck with stuff like The Lone Ranger or Man From UNCLE. He’s still pretty young, but has the build and voice to pass for someone older. Just in case if they wanna merge the timelines. *sigh* It’ll probably be Jack O’Connell or Taron Edgerton. Flashpoint would only change what the current Batman is. Using Flashpoint that way is the same as how they tried to change X-men with Days of Future Past when it came to Jubilee, Angel and Psylocke. |
