I sort of agree. Actually, I just plain agree, but it's also on the condition that I just kind of assumed Brie Larson was in her mid-late 30's already. Being 29 is kind of a surprise for me.
When Yvonne Strahovski came up as someone who could play the part (she was even considered by the studio) it made sense to me because...well look at her. But in saying that, I also assumed she was close in age to Brie Larson. Yvonne Strahovski's 36, apparently, and to me, she and Brie Larson could pass for the same age. Not big on fan casting but I always thought she'd be good in the role. Strahovski was my 3rd choice for the role (not that my choices matter in this but oh well, one can dream). My top 3 were: 1. Blake Lively 2. Emily Blunt 3. Yvonne Strahovski

Captain Marvel looks the same age from 1989-2019. It's a plothole.

Captain Marvel looks the same age from 1989-2019. Brie Larson is 29 years old. What if they had hired an actress in her late 40s to mid 50s and de-aged her like they did Nick Fury? Someone like Jennifer Aniston (50) or Julia Roberts (51)? I asked that question last week, bro. Nobody answered. Because MCU never answered it. It's a plothole.

Not big on fan casting but I always thought she'd be good in the role. Yeah she seems like she'd look great in the uniform. Even in my head, her blonde hair compliments the red and blue of the outfit. She just has a natural charisma about her that Larson doesn't have.

Rachel Nichols would have made a good Captain Marvel.
Also, obviously she does not age like normal humans do. It's a side effect of the tesseract power.

Captain Marvel looks the same age from 1989-2019. It's a plothole. It's not a plothole, it's explained in the movie.

I asked that question last week, bro. Nobody answered. Because MCU never answered it. It's a plothole. It's not a plot hole, not that you would even know the meaning of the word. You seem to just throw that term out there as a general complaint for anything you view wrong with these films. Her aging or lack of has nothing to do with the overall plot of the film, hence no plot hole. It only becomes a question mark in the post-credit scene, after the film has already ended. It's clearly a scene directly lifted from Avengers Endgame. Therefore, it should be explained in that film. If not, one can easily just surmise why she hasn't aged is based on the source of her abilities (Kree blood, Tesseract energy) and the effects of traveling through space (watch Interstellar, it explains the effects of time relativity/time dilation due to gravity). In the end, it's a comic book movie about a superhero in a colorful outfit that shoots energy beams from her hands and flies. How technical do we really need to get with these films?

Neither do the Themyscirans (looking at Wonder Woman). So they're basically treating it like they did Captain America when he was frozen in ice for 60 odd years? With some sense of disbelief thrown in for good measure. It's not like freezing yourself actually keeps you alive. You can be thawed out and still be dead.

She's got Kree DNA in her now so i'd imagine she ages slowly.

Yes. Why do you think Ronan didn't seem to age much either? TBF, it would be difficult to tell under all that make-up.
Have we actually been told or shown anywhere that Kree age more slowly?

Have we actually been told or shown anywhere that Kree age more slowly? Not specifically no. In GotG 2 Yondu, who they made Kree, didn't age from time Star Lord was young to when he was older. It's a natural inference from them being more durable than Humans. Aging is caused by replication errors in DNA due to damage and natural wear and tear on cells. If one is more physically durable (ie they can take more punishment without physical damage) then one should age slower. In Agents Kree blood also helps regenerate tissue. If one can repair the damage caused to DNA and Cells then this would also retard the aging process.

Yes. There was a Kree in Agents of Shield who.. "has been in charge of a slave colony long enough for three generations of humans to be born, live, and die, so that no-one still alive remembers a time before he was in charge.
This particular Kree is still considered quite young by his family."So they have particularly long lives. Being as Captain Marvel has Kree DNA now that would be why she didn't age. I don't know if they have lifespans as long as the Asgardians but it's considerably more than any human.

I knew there was something said about Kasius and his ilk about age but I couldn't remember the exact quote.
