alot of my choices are simply because alot of other actors who weren't nominated likely should've gotten in but didn't at all.

1. Christopher Plummer, Beginners- Nolte, or if we are going unnominated Brooks, Pitt, Hawkes, Miller, or Sutherland would've all been apt winners. 2. Jack Palance, City Slickers- of the nominees Jones, but damn Goodman should've won or Oldman. 3. George Burns, The Sunshine Boys- Cazale or Durning. 4. George Clooney, Syriana- Dillon. 5. Mahershala Ali, Green Book- Hoult 6. Jason Robards, Julia- anybody else. 7. John Houseman, The Paper Chase- Miller or Lee. 8.Red Buttons, Sayonara- Hayakawa 9. Charles Coburn, The More The Merrier- Rains 10. Jack Nicholson, Terms of Endearment- Bauer or Sheperd

Out of the nominees. Any of the 3 On the Waterfront performances >>> Edmond O'Brien Robert Stack >>> Anthony Quinn Sessue Hayakawa >>> Red Buttons Peter Firth >>> Jason Robards Klaus Maria Brandauer >>> Don Ameche River Phoenix >>> Kevin Kline Tommy Lee Jones >>> Jack Palance Jackie Earl Haley >>> Alan Arkin Sylvester Stallone >>> Mark Rylance Michael Shannon >>> Mahershala Ali My own favorite supporting performances those years. Tom Wilkinson, Denial >>> Mahershala Ali Oscar Isaac, Ex Machina >>> Mark Rylance Jackie Earl Haley Ted Levine, The Silence of the Lambs >>> Jack Palance Alan Rickman, Die Hard >>> Kevin Kline M. Emmet Walsh, Blood Simple. >>> Don Ameche John Cassavetes, Opening Night >>> Jason Robards Sessue Hayakawa Karl Malden, Baby Doll >>> Anthony Quinn John Mills, Hobson's Choice >>> Edmond O'Brien

Seems a bit unfair, especially since Thomas Mitchell is excellent in Stagecoach.

Eric Roberts is easily my second choice from the nominees.

I at least remember some things about Stagecoach.

I am not very fond of his performance. Call me crazy, but I actually prefer all the nominees over Dafoe, even Don Ameche.
