Deadline is saying 50.5m for the weekend, but other than Pet Sematary not a lot of competition for next couple weeks. There is some disagreement on Production Budget some sites saying 80m some saying 100m. Either way not a very high target to hit to be profitable.

I hope this does well, it'd be good for DC if it does.
According to Deadline it's looking at a $51 million+ weekend. Which at the moment would be the lowest opening for a live action superhero movie since Fantastic Four but then it is on a smaller budget.

According to the current estimates, it’s set to make $53.5 million by the end of the weekend, plus another $3.3 million from the sneak peek they did a couple of weeks ago.

It's a decent opening but nothing too spectacular, the same as Green Lantern, it doesn't even rank in the Top 50 best openings for a superhero movie.
It's actually a lower opening than any MCU movie and some of these date back over 10 years now.
But if it's on a lower budget then it should be fine.

Don't be surprised or let people say the Percentage Drop is bigger than normal. I don't know if all the sites are going to factor out the 3+m paid preview from first weekend. The 2nd weekend drop is always kind for shitty because of Thursday Night previews. I suspect Shazam's will be higher than the normal Superhero 50-55% because of of the extra paid previews they had. I could be wrong, but I say if they keep the 3million in for Paid Previews it might be closer to 60%. Just from my on little research have the grabbing 26+m for this weekend (I've seen from 24-30m) depending on if they use the 53.5m with normal thursday paid previews but without paid previews (aka normal way) or the 56.5m with the paid previews and thursday previews (aka not normal) it could skew the % drop. It will be easy to see what they use when the numbers for the 2nd weekend comes o ut.

Well they're saying $20+ million for a second weekend for Shazam. So it'll probably be around $90-100 million by Sunday.
Edit: Now $25+ million for $94.7 million total.
