Merged the two threads because we don't need two of them.

Batman killed people in the original comics and in the two Burton films. It shouldn't be an issue here.

Batman killed people in the original comics and in the two Burton films. It shouldn't be an issue here. Yeah he killed plenty of people. He blew up the entire factory in the first one full of people. Superman killed someone as well in Superman 2 but then people got up in arms when he killed Zod in Man of Steel.

Superman killed someone as well in Superman 2 but then people got up in arms when he killed Zod in Man of Steel. I've always felt that the main problem is that Superman went for the kill only when four humans were about to die, even though Zod's invasion had killed thousands of people already. If anything Superman should've tried to kill Zod immediately. Of course, the no kill rule always felt absurd when Superman was taking on enemies that were as strong if not stronger than him.

Just because he proves a point, doesn’t mean he has to be an asshole about it.

Batman doesn't kill and if you bring up some obscure comic from the 1940's, when the character wasn't even defined properly, as your evidence to the contrary in order to defend a crap movie then you're a twat.

He's just a terrible story teller that thinks it's cool to kill everyone. And Batman only killed at the same time that Superman couldn't fly.

I don't have a problem with them killing people. But this guy sounds like an idiot every time he opens his mouth.
How old is he? His stunted emotional development comes across in his commentary as much as it does in his films. You're so edgy, dude!

He was basically arguing that because Watchmen already debunked the notion that superheroes are an inherently innocent concept, it gave leeway to his depiction of Batman killing. The rest of the quote was You could argue that he could’ve been more eloquent in his explanation, but he wasn’t saying that Batman should be a killer just because it’s edgy.

I'm like down the fucking road."

Still a tad more eloquent than Uwe Boll.

I never said you had a problem with it. I was simply pointing out that Snyder wasn’t saying that Batman being a killer is okay because it’s edgy or whatever.

I never had a problem with Batman (or Superman) killing villains. It's almost inevitable that a person using violence to fight crime on a regular basis will eventually have to kill.
But I agree with Reykahuka, Snyder definitely needs to work on his eloquence.

Batman killed people in the original comics and in the two Burton films. It shouldn't be an issue here. Batman quit killing people in the comics before Superman knew how to fly in the comics. Do you want a non-flying Superman as well?
