Not really a lot of info there from Feige. He sidesteps most of the questions.

Not really a lot of info there from Feige. He sidesteps most of the questions. When we asked Feige what finally changed Horn's mind about Gunn, Feige told IGN, "Well, I can't speak for Alan, but I know he said he really, really ... Alan is an amazing man, and is an amazing boss and an amazing mentor, and the MCU would not be what it is today had Bob Iger (Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company) not hired him to run Walt Disney Studies when he did. And (Horn) is a man of great integrity, and a man who really believes in right and wrong. And he made the decision the right thing was to have James come back."
He should go into politics with that little sidestep tap dance routine. LOL

"We gave it a few months for the hubbub to die down and we hired him back. What could anyone really say, he'd already been hired by Warner Bros."

So he made repetitive obsessive jokes about child abuse but doesn't everybody?

Once or twice maybe-not 20 plus times. Never encountered anyone who made jokes about abusing children and since Disney did employ a convicted child molester--it is odd how they are tolerant of this--but something like what Roseanne Barr said in a single tweet caused her to be fired. What she said could be considered dark humor by the same standard.

I agree, I think the whole idea of burning people at the stake for blasphemy and heresy--literally and figuratively--is more a problem than wisps of ether 'told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.'

If Hollywood had no issue with pedophilia (i.e the Poltergeist girl) then maybe it wouldn't mean much (but still really bad PR for Disney's family image). The nature of Hollywood coverups on this subject is what makes it all the more troubling. There is no way Disney management didn't know about the Powder dude's conviction at the time.

The poltergeist girl? The one who died like 30 years ago? I don't even know what you're talking about and can't imagine what it would have to do with someone's dark humor thirty years later.
Did you think he was entirely serious or do you suspect he was trying to invoke people's laugh-so-you-don't-cry mechanism like the First Cav wags who noticed Napalm Sticks to Kids?
Now there are some who read the latter and think it's a celebration of such behavior, they're not exactly the most perceptive or analytical types but do tend to get emotionally manipulated easily so don't trust them with matches if you see them around crowds....

Forgive me for going off topic but I know exactly what Marendil is talking about. Most people don't know but Heather O'Rourke's death was much worse than reported. And yes, it has A WHOLE LOT to do with the rampant pedophilia in Hollyweird. The things that this poor child went through is BEYOND HORRIFYING. If you pay close attention to the timeline of these events, how exactly did Heather become so gravely ill all of a sudden? My God. RIP

RIP She had Crohn's, an infection, was on corticosteroids and had a congenital narrowing of the large intestines. With Crohn's alone you can get sepsis within hours of feeling symptoms of infection. Source my sister in law who almost died. She felt first symptoms of infection going to work a slight fever. By 3pm she was in the ER getting pumped with massive doses of Antibiotics trying to get the sepsis under control before she went into septic shock. She tried living with Crohn's and the potential of going into septic shock again for about 2 years before having her Large Intestines removed.

Pedophilia is a real thing in Hollywood. Someone mentioned talking to a Hills Have Eyes actor about it--he said it was an open secret--that's why Gunn's comments are not just innocent jokes--you can bet he knows about the pedo culture in Hollywood.
The fact he is re-hired shows how protected it is.
If he said jokes about setting houses on fire--that would be different since Hollywood does not have a reputation for arson cults.

Pretending those posts suggests he approves of it is ridiculous though, just like your sig isn't suggesting treason, corruption and court tampering are good things.

Most people consider political wealth corruption so common (even in ancient times) it just isn't seen as a big deal-like murder. But depending on the identity of the victim, it can be. I.e. children. That's one reason why his remarks were considered peculiar. Generally it is considered bad taste to make fun of vulnerable victims and has been for some time. This in addition to the Hollywood partiality to the practice.

Get out of here with your conspiracy lunacy. You're probably a firm believer in pizzagate, too. I thought it was a little extreme the other day when you said Hollywood has depicted 'rural Americans' as 'evil incarnate' for 50 years, now I realize that statement was only the tip of the crazy iceberg with you. Please go back to the politics board, don't bother rational people with your nonsense.

Didn't you hear what happened to Isaac Asimov's son? Rather than expose the Hollywood folk involved with his child pornography business they hushed it up. There was a thread on it in the politics board. There was a scandal involving pedos in the UK as well. The star of Steptoe and Son was involved. Even without Pizzagate, there is organized pedophilia.
