If, IF, they ever make an MOS 2 or a new Superman movie, what would you most like to see in terms of story and/or villain?
I think Brainiac would be the way to go since we've never actually seen it done. Its been hinted that they'd do it in other movies that never got made, so I say go for it already. He's a villain that poses a real threat.
I wouldn't want to see another reboot or origin story.
My idea goes back to Krypton, but not to rehash the origin. Rather to bring out some elements that would impact the story, but not the origin parts. In the movies its never been made 100% clear what exactly destroys Krypton other than hinting at a natural disaster, and I'd like to get into that a little bit.

Not only has it been long overdue but it'd give Superman the chance to face a true intellectual threat since let's face it, Lex Luthor Junior isn't the brightest bulb in the closet. I would use it as an opportunity to introduce Supergirl as kind of like a refugee fleeing Brainiac and seeks Superman's assistance. Perhaps hint that Brainaic engineered the destruction of Krypton from behind-the-scenes to make his harvesting of Kandor for his collection simpler. Even suggest that Brainiac was influencing and corrupting Zod's mind while in the Phantom Zone.

I would like to see Brainiac but he is a world ending threat and people would wonder where the Justice League is. Plus I woudnt want yet another alien invasion plot, but thats just me.

I wouldn't mind it but if they wanted to go a different route, someone like Metallo or Parasite could be interesting. Or concerning supervillain teams, they use Intergang.

I agree with that. I guess there's no way of getting around the alien invasion part of it, but as for where are the other JL members that could be easily solved with cameos showing them saving lives in other parts of the world. Also theres that whole being trapped within the bottled cities thing. I've given this some thought, lol

My only problem with them is that they're more lowly, more henchmen types. They'll give Superman a physical fight, but in the end you can see how he could defeat them easily enough. Unless... the movie version of them is ramped up... hmmm...

Brainiac should be a Justice League level villain.
If they were competent they'd have it go Brainiac, Steppenwolf and then Darkseid.

I would let Lex Luthor and Metallo be the villains. I feel that we need a proper Lex and Superman clash and we never got the chance to see Metallo on the big screen. So I would go with that build to Brainiac.
As for Brainiac, I would connect him to the destruction of Krypton. Him being the reason why Krypton was destroyed decades later.

Brainiac should be a Justice League level villain. They can start off with Brainaic in MOS2 and have a story that introduces Supergirl to the DCEU. MOS2 would end with Brainaic defeating Superman. Then JL2 could have Superman bringing the JL together to defeat Brainiac. And with Supergirl, they could make a Legion of Super-Heroes movie with Supergirl traveling to the 30th century and helping the Legion battle the Fatal 5.

Wow it looks like a reject from the Michael Bay Transformers film.

A proper Lex Luthor, fully in his power, would be nice. Not kid Lexerberg.
I also like the idea of either Metallo or Lobo.
If they can do Lobo similar to how the MCU did Loki, introduce as a villain first then slowly turn him into an anti-hero, it would be awesome.

That said, they should probably reboot Superman again and use the classic characterisation of the Man of Steel we all know and love. Just don't give him any cheesy lines like Marvel did with Captain America.
When it comes to villains I wholeheartedly support the notion of using Metallo and Lex Luthor, CEO and evil mastermind. When used correctly they can set up an arc where Lex Luthor becomes president of the USA and maybe a live action adaptation of Superman/Batman: Public Enemies after that?

Well maybe he could discover the Fortress of Solitude and more about his home world.
As for the villain, probably Brainiac, and then save Darkseid for the third film.

Brainiac should have been the villain of BvS.
Everything would have made a LOT more sense if Brainiac were revealed to be manipulating everything from behind the scenes. Brainiac level mind manipulation would explain 90% of the plot holes.
Moving forward, I would think Brainiac is the only real option for a "Big Bad." Metallo and Parasite are decent thoughts, but I don't see either really being able to support a film on their own.

Either would be perfectly sufficient to play the henchman to a top tier villain like Brainiac or Luthor-in-name-only. Thing is I'm not sure if we'll ever see the former and I am certainly not fond of the latter. Honestly kind of sick of them always falling back on Luthor. Now that the Justice League is established (kind of) in this universe, I wouldn't mind them introducing someone different like Maxwell Lord or Vandal Savage.
