If Christians are not to judge anyone full stop how do we interpret verses like this? “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.””JOHN 7:24 Jesus didn't say that bit of cherry picking. 'Righteous judgment' could refer to choosing not to judge at all. That's the problem with the Bible being in the hands of people who use it to manipulate people for an agenda. LOL Except those are the words of Jesus. You gotta be trolling at this point.

I don't know every passage of the Bible, but I do know people cherry pick and apply meanings that are convenient for their agenda. You obviously don't know what He meant by 'righteous judgment'.

Did Jesus not also teach that it is the will of the Father for everyone to believe in his Son for salvation? Do you accept Jesus as your saviour and follow him. You have to know who He is and where He is to know how incomplete and misleading that passage is. I'm not going to bother with the passages that men of that day used for an agenda. In other words you’re full of shit and pick and choose from certain texts what suits you and reinterpret/twist them to fit your own personal beliefs

There is absolutely no one who doesn't cherrypick or use the bible as a means of manipulating others, the better to serve their own agendas, if they're at all using it in a religious context--and just as often as not when they're using it in a secular one.

Jesus teaches that nobody can cast the first stone, nobody is righteous. Understand that, and it puts that sentence in context... Nobody is righteous, so don't judge others. If you do, the Father will judge you the same.

For example superficial or hypocritical judgement is not on. As christians we can judge right or wrong actions. If somebody is sinning there is nothing wrong with calling them out on it.

He made a clear distinction between that which is 'Ceasar's'.

Read how Jesus dealt with the trap laid for him with the adulterous woman. You would do better to work on your own sins, and move towards grace yourself, than to go against Christ's teaching, by judging others, in my opinion. But it's your soul, do with it what you will.

Seriously people...having read through this thread, it is like having surveillance microphones in the Club Room of the mental asylum. I have never read more absolutely and totally ridiculous nonsense before on any thread except perhaps where Heeeeey talks about 'science'. You DO realise that this division in apparently one religion of Christianity tends to make any semblance of truth in all your beliefs pale into insignificant nonsense, right? I call it bickering over bullshit. Then why are you on this board, twit? This board is for discussing religion, faith, and spirituality. We have more cause to be here than you do. You are only here to be an insolent troll. I am here discussing religion, faith, and spirituality. Why? I already said I discuss religion, faith, and spirituality. .. and that coming from the worst clickbait troll on these Boards! BTW insolence does not mean 'daring to call you out on your stupidity, anti-intellectualism and ignorance'. That is a duty undertaken by those of us with a brain and some knowledge of academia and the body of scientific knowledge. If we don't know something we also know how to source verifiable and accurate knowledge on a subject.

Heeeeey this is fun, cherry picking bits of the Bible and quoting it back at people. No wonder you God botherers get off on it and spend whole threads quoting shit to each other!

If they're not even discussing it with you, then they're not using it to manipulate you. Religionists are using the bible to manipulate others each time they try to bend secular law to conform to their will (their will, of course, always suspiciously resembling what they claim to be god's will). If you really believe that because the nutters aren't having one-on-one discussions with you they aren't nonetheless manipulating your life in manifold ways, you're sadly fooling yourself.

Give me an example. You atheists have enough power to be having religious monuments removed (if they're Christian) from public grounds. At least we are in a country with separation of church and state, although you hypocrites would defend Islamic symbols as 'free speech'. That's why a student can wear a habib to school but not a crucifix. Like goz, it's only Christianity you hate. You defend everything else.

The whole freakin' anti-choice movement is the product of the far right evangelicals manipulating secular laws that guarantee the right to abortion, essentially succeeding in many states' passing laws and provisions designed to intimidate providers away. The evangelical right has been successful in getting laws passed that allow for businesses to refuse to provide insurance for contraceptives if a company or owner decides it goes against their religious beliefs. Evangelicals have done end runs around laws in many states that had abolished prayer in schools, and there have been a number of instances of individuals refusing to do their jobs of granting marriage licenses to gay couples or filling prescriptions for birth control pills, even when the law demanded that they do so, with these cases tying up the courts while the Christian right tries to argue that the individuals' religious beliefs should be permitted to override secular laws. The US is becoming the laughingstock of the West for the degree of latitude it's ceded to the Christ-nutters. And don't give me that tired old drill about all the power 'them atheists' have of getting religious symbols removed from public places. For every one instance of that happening there are twenty more of Christ-zealots denying rights to atheists to hold public office, teach, or even publicly exercise their first amendment rights to air their views. Then you attempt to hide behind typical boilerplate Islamophobia, and that droning whine about how us satanic types love every other religion but hate Christianity...which may pass muster with the gang of toddlers who fall for that line, but fools no one with an IQ above room temperature. Cite me some examples of all this Muslim social engineering you claim is so rampant (and I mean documented cases with solid evidence, and not the usual idiot urban-legend/Alex Jones mouth-breather crap your sort tend to be fond of peddling), and we'll see how those instances stack up against the myriad examples of evangelical attempts to tinker with secular law that take place in this country on a damn near daily basis.

And the left whines over a bakery while gays in Muslim countries get shoved off rooftops. The percentage of Muslims in the US is miniscule, so I would have to direct you to countries where Islam is the majority religion so that you can make your own comparison. Where would you rather live?
