How could Aguero have been offside? The ball came off a Spurs player. There was no forward pass. Eriksen was lucky that his pass back deflected off a city player.

Congrats, Darkshines! Saw the last 15 mins. Top stuff. I need to see the first 20 mins now. Thanks, Aj! I think only now can I actually watch the game. I wouldn't have survived doing so live. I do think we were extraordinarily lucky to get through though. But I'll take it!

Sheesh they're numpties. Can't watch that video in Australia for some fecking reason. You can only access that vid through UK IP address. Guess someone else has rights for CL in Aus. I can access that by using firefox add on browsec when I put UK as my choice of IP. This might work in Aus.

Ta for posting that up, staggsy. Part of me wishes I'd watched all that in a pub tonight (Spurs pub, naturally), but the other part of me knows I would never have survived the excitement.

Excellent. It's great that Pep won't win this title with Man City as he couldn't win it with Bayern either.

I realise this thread is largely pro-Spurs but I think it's as good a time as any to point out that the away goals rule is completely absurd and always has been.

I don't mind the away goals. Who needs more extra time and penalties? The beauty of away goals is that you go from behind to in front with one kick.
What I would be miffed about if I were a fan of City was that, for whatever reason, the referee wasn't shown the angle that clearly showed a Llorente handball on the decisive gial. They showed the angle on TV before the review, but never showed it in the actual review.

Dislike the penalty shoot-outs but can't think of anything better

We wouldnt have games like these if it wasnt for the away goals. I love them except for when I'm on the losing end. Just found out our (LFC) second leg is at home against Barca. Imagine trying to stop them from scoring away goals if they need them? Actually not a fan of the away goals now for these 2 games but will be back loving it again next season.

I have to say that I believe the away goal rule has had it's day, we've come to accept it but imagine being at the meeting where someone suggested it, they should have been laughed out of the room. Mind you, I'm against 2 legs and believe only champion should qualify for the champion League (should be a cup like it used to be, was only changed as usual to create more money for the governing organisation)

Excellent. It's great that Pep won't win this title with Man City as he couldn't win it with Bayern either. I've said it before and I'll say it again - Pep Guardiola is still effectively unproven as a manager. All he's ever done is what would have been expected of him at the clubs he's been at and with the resources he's had at hand. In fact it's like he's playing out his his managerial career like you would if you only ever selected giant teams on Championship Manager. He's cheating not only the game, but himself. He hasn't grown. He hasn't improved. He's taken shortcuts and gained nothing. His experience is a series of hollow victories. Nothing's been risked and nothing's been gained.

2 Champion's league titles are nothing to be sneezed at though. Bayern are a worse team without him, that's for sure.
