He made Barca the best team in Europe/World and with some help from Xavi, Iniesta, and Messi introduced tiki-taka to the game. Only he knows why he left Spain

And he made some pretty gutsy moves his first season at Barca. They had held on to the core of their 2005 team too long and he went on a clean out.with immediate success.

I realise this thread is largely pro-Spurs but I think it's as good a time as any to point out that the away goals rule is completely absurd and always has been. They away-goal rule is meant to counter the home advantage, but more so, to give the away team the incentive to play more offensive instead of parking the bus. And since the teams know this rule, they know the consequences at every moment. It is better then a penalty shoot-out which is too much luck-only, or extra time, which is always benefiting the home team more if there is no away goal-rule. Many lesser sides will also park the bus and hope for their luck in the penalties.

Delighted with the result!! When that Sterling goal went in at the end I was damn near about to cry at how spursy it was, so to have it chalked off moments later is almost as unspursy as it gets.
Great match and result. Bring on Ajax.

So...it occurs to me that both Spurs and Ajax have strong Jewish connections. So whose Star of David will fly highest?

Pretty sure the away goals rule still applies in extra time. It is, but I was talking about a situation with extra time but without the away goal rule. It would be unfair for the away team (yeah, I screwed up the if-clause). There was a time when there was a third game on a neutral ground. Hence, I think it is fair if the home advantage is balanced out by the away goal rule.

Hey, if Spurs are 'spursy', does that make Arsenal 'arsey'?

What’s your preferred final? I’m leaning towards Ajax/Liverpool. Not sure I can stomach the thought of Spurs in the final. On the other hand, they’d likely get crushed by either of Liverpool or Barca, so that’d be entertaining.
