Ferrari 1,2. No points for Red Bull. Struggles for Mercedes, even though they ultimately finished 3,4. Sets the season up nicely. Congrats Leclerc!

That was anti climactic for RBR. 3 dead honda engines(or red bull power train), not good. Im loving the new regs though. The battle between Lec en Ver was great, something that was hardly possible with last years cars. There was some great close racing today. A special shout out to Magnussen, he had a great weekend. Also, Zhou did very good. McLaren really missed the boat. And congrats to Ferrari. But if Max his car doesnt go to shit half way trough the race, we could get a great title fight.

Yeah the changes seem very promising at the moment and hopefully we will see a competitive season. Haas must have done some amazing work to improve so much? probably biggest disappointment so far is McLaren. I hope they can fix their issues. Where are other F-1 viewers? sjg cypher

I'm here, sorry for the delay. I recorded all the motor sport yesterday and watched it back to back late in to the evening. First was MotoGP. Marc isn't adapting to the 2022 Honda very well at all and throw in a 4 year old tire construction and it either low sides him every time he tries to push or sends him to the moon with an off throttle high side. Nasty. It was a good race but i was a bit disappointed it was shortened which i thought they did because they didn't think the slicks could cope with the track temp but then it rained and they didn't run them. It was also shocking to hear that the ticket price to get in was equivalent to two months salary there so no wonder the place looked empty! F1 was next which was pretty boring up until Gasly's car shat itself and then the two red bulls conked out. That was karma right there ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) It was good to see the Haas and Alfas doing well. Shame McLaren seem to have traded places with them! The highlight of the day was Indy Car though, a great race on the first oval of the year and the first one always blows me away with the sense of speed on the onboard shots, god knows what it's like to be in the car. I thought Scott was going to win it but he just got pipped to the line.

I had the pleasure of watching the race in the ER with a kidney stone, on 4mg of morphine, in extremem pain, so I was in and out, but I was awake for the end, to see the unreliability issues of Red Bull. It doesn't bode well for them, at the moment, with Ferrari clocking up over 30 seconds advantage by the time of the safety car.
Doff of the cap to Magnussen for a great drive, on the back of Mazepin Sr.'s investment.
It was also nice to see the cars fairly bunched up in the middle of the race, looking for overtaking opportunities.
Looking forward to this weekend.

But it wasnt really 30 seconds, Max, Checo and Carlos just did their last pit stops and Charles still had to do his, which he did under VSC. The biggest gap between Charles and Max was around 5 or 6 seconds.

A missile strike near the Jeddah race circuit, about 10/15 km from it. They hit an Aramco facility.

Congrats Perez on maiden F-1 pole. I think all top 4 cars tomorrow would have a chance to win. Hamilton shockingly bad performance in qualifying makes me think if Hamilton's main rival would be Russell this season and would Mercedes be getting beaten by the likes of Haas? Great to see good qualifying laps by Renault. Makes things more etertaining.

Well, I've said more teams competing for wins and more competition within the contending teams was required and we're getting it so far. Excellent.

Good race!
Great to see the frontrunners, and Norris, battling to the line. The new regs and DRS are finally working together to give us some proper racing, albeit, aided by VSCs.
Fun seeing Alonso battling, but looks like he was harrying a bit too much.
Latifi is inheriting Mazepin's crown as the most unpopular driver in the paddock.
Bring on Australia!

Sorry, late to the party again. That was a pretty good race. I thought it was inevitable that Max was going to win though with the straight line advantage of his car, fair play for being able to stay with the Ferrari through the first half the lap with far less down force though, so i didn't find the last laps that exciting. It's a shame there are only two teams fighting at the front yet again but it's good to see cars being able to follow better. If Mercedes can get there act together then we'll be in for a good championship

Good race, marred slightly by the ridiculous loopholes around pitting under yellow. I watch a lot of racing around the world and few do basics like that as poorly as F1. Anyway, terrific racing at the front after the final restart. In the middle I felt bad for Alonso. Thought he's raced pretty well for most of the night. If Mercedes can come to the party we may have a legitimate three team contest at the top.

Aprilia claim their first ever pole in the MotoGP, Aleix Espargo taking it out from Jorge Martin and Luca Marini. Shenanigans between Miller and Fabio after Jack took his second bike out having crashed his first. Jack docked 3 grid places and will start 14th.
Pol Espargaro 4th, Mavrick 5th and Fabio 6th. Rins, Mir and Zarco the third row. Pecco had a shocker and will start 15th.

Argentinian MotoGP was another great race. Aleix Espargaro winning his, and Aprilia's, first ever Grand Prix. He trailed Ducati's Jorge Martin for much of the race, caught him twice only to go too hot into the corner and give it up. The decisive move came in lap 22, Aleix taking the lead at turn 5 and then holding on to win.
Rins was 3rd ahead of team mate Mir.
Espargaro leaves with an 8 point lead in the World Championship with Binder 2nd with Bastianini and Rins a point further back in 3rd.
