Every time I open the news its all tragedy horror death unhapiness sorrow etc. Mostly.
I wanna read about something good happening to people. Any people. Anything good. Small or big. Find it. Whats the last thing that made you happy (or at least brought you some joy)?
I can honestly say I was happy most of friday because I was looking forward to seeing the Endgame and then i was super happy for the 3 hours watching it and maybe an hour after - it was almost intoxicating for me. (The next high spike like that I presume I will have over John Wick 3.)
But not to be focused on movies only, friday was overalll a good day, friend had a bday party and it was at a really inteesting venue (Museum / bar / club) and the people there were nice and fun to be around. So yeah Friday was a happy day for me overall.
What was the last thing that made you happy? remember however small or big, as long as it elevated your mood and you felt joy or hapinness, it counts.
Please share.

Considering that she spent her first couple weeks in the rafters when she first joined the Cat household, Catman is happy each time Katsura hops up into his lap.

I was pleased that a display I put together to promote a "electronic device-free" raffle event came together pretty well. I borrowed from the Alec Baldwin monologue from Glengarry Glen Ross and turned it into "PUT. THAT SMARTPHONE. DOWN." and worked in his rundown of prizes, too (although getting fired isn't actually one of them).

Please share. Yes, exactly, Nora. And it's a big reason why I rarely watch the news. Okay, my Westie makes me happy on a daily basis. He is so freaking cute and adorable and funny and precious. I just love my little guy to bits! Other than that, yes, it's the small things. Friday, it was a feeling of accomplishment and yesterday it was the feeling that goes with being able to figure out a solution to a problematic schedule and making all that work! Today it is cabbage soup, which achieved a low rolling boil on the stove a few minutes ago. Nummnens... "I know I shouldn't say this, but I just love my cabbage soup!"
(Does anybody know what movie this line is from, when you switch out the cabbage soup for brownies?) And I'll go ahead and cite the example, because like you said, everything counts. I watched a bunch of Charlie's Angels episodes, 1st season and best season, and the chemistry between those three young women (Kate, Farrah and Jaclyn) always makes me happy. They are kind and smart and strong and feminine and lovely and, best of all, it is obvious to me that they all really cared for each other. Their interpersonal devotion went beyond the quality of the show (which during its first season was way better than the critics gave it credit for). Three attractive and appealing women who really love each other and like each other is something to cheer for as there didn't seem to be a trace of jealousy or resentment to take away from the heavenly trio, they each had lots to contribute to their small group; and the fact that they are fictional characters almost makes it better for me because they will never be a disappointment. Although, as Kate and Jaclyn have both said, the three of them really liked for and cared about each other in real life. There's something magical about chemistry.

Happy? What is this 'Happy' you speak of? its this feeling you usually wanna share with others and want to experience as often as possible although one can argue that if we were always happy how would we know we even are happy? my biggest struggle is not to dwel on the thigs that make me unhappy. i am working on being able to reshift my focus into optimistic and productive as soon as possible after i am down. i believe its a skill one can develop. and you know what? just now my neighbors started to play the theme song from US very loud and that kinda makes me happy, I love the tune. So... I shalld dance to it now. And that should tell my brain I am happy.

"These days"...
I'm more happy or unhappy based on subjects or parts of my life rather than overall.
Last thing that made me happy, was looking a the pictures of the birds present at a local park and realizing I got some satisfactory (still on working on making those to the standards I wish to accomplish) shots.

I never saw the show but you made me want to see it. oh and also i wanna know how u make your cabbage soup. i love cabbage soup. do you add sour cream in it? Here's my sweet and sour cabbage soup. Ingredients 4 tablespoons olive or canola oil 1 large onion, chopped 2 lb. bag of carrots I stalk of celery 3 heads of green cabbage 3 Big cans of chicken broth 1 of the large cans refilled to top with water 4 cans of small (8 oz.) tomato sauce I cup of balsamic vinegar 1/2 cup of brown sugar If you have a jar of dill pickles nearby, you might add 2-3 T into the broth. Dill - juice from a jar of dill pickles - goes well with this soup in particular. pepper and salt to taste (personally, I like to use 2-3 T of worchestershire sauce for a little saltiness and for that WS flavor, which does nice things to the soup.) -- Cut up all vegetables in bite size pieces Cook onion in oil for 6-7 minutes Add vegetables, cook in oil for a few minutes, add all the other ingredients. Cover, simmer on medium low for 3-4 hours, until cabbage is very tender. Taste soup and adjust seasoning with more balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, salt and/or pepper, as you like it... 😊 Cabbage Soup!!!

Sure but I just don't want to derail the thread with those, but here are some (1 of each should be enough to give an idea, overall I got in the thousands from which I am deleting and keeping the bests). Don't hesitate to click and enlarge, they should be clear.
two Male Mallard ducks:
The one at the back is a gull but the other one at the front is either a female or from another subspecies:
Tree swallows
Purple Finches
Red-winged blackbird
Canadian Goose (head shot)
Cedar waxwing
Great Blue Heron with a small Yellow Perch for lunch
That's not all the species I saw and those are just examples for the last week.
