Happy? What is this 'Happy' you speak of? A weird television show on SyFy is it not? If by weird you mean awesome then yes.

Mostly yes. I love being with my family and hanging out with them (so the weekends are very special and sacred). I did miss the current Bar exam though by 15 points (found out this past Friday) which is a total bummer, but I'm okay and am already studying again for the July exam (yay). My current job situation has improved so I don't completely hate it anymore (I got a pretty decent raise) so that's good. Last thing that made me happy was I fixed an electrical issue at the house that could have caused a serious electrical fire (the washing machine was wired in at a junction box in the attic with way too many other things and it actually got hot enough to melt the wire nuts). A neighbor came over and we reran a dedicated line from the washing machine to the breaker box and averted a potential disaster. That made me happy. Plus, I saved a lot of money doing it without the use of an electrician.

Listening to Porcupine Tree’s Lightbulb Sun today. Always liked it a bit but today it really clicked. Yes I’m easy to please. That's a nice track.

Waking up this evening and discovering I'm still above ground.
I wouldn't describe myself as a happy person, but a content one.
And that's fine by me.

And that's fine by me. thats a great reason to be happy and/or content; I often try and focus on the blessing that is waking up in the morning with no pain or having no steady pain in my life, I know thats not gonna last forever and I really really thank my body for holding out despite of my abuse of it especially in younger years. Being content sounds like a great achievment not many people can honestly say that so good for you!

I guess it was seeing this exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto on Saturday. I was lucky to travel to Toronto on business last week, and I extended my stay just so that I could go to the museum for this exhibition.

Yes, exactly, Nora. And it's a big reason why I rarely watch the news. Okay, my Westie makes me happy on a daily basis. He is so freaking cute and adorable and funny and precious. I just love my little guy to bits! Other than that, yes, it's the small things. Friday, it was a feeling of accomplishment and yesterday it was the feeling that goes with being able to figure out a solution to a problematic schedule and making all that work! Today it is cabbage soup, which achieved a low rolling boil on the stove a few minutes ago. Nummnens... "I know I shouldn't say this, but I just love my cabbage soup!"
(Does anybody know what movie this line is from, when you switch out the cabbage soup for brownies?) And I'll go ahead and cite the example, because like you said, everything counts. I watched a bunch of Charlie's Angels episodes, 1st season and best season, and the chemistry between those three young women (Kate, Farrah and Jaclyn) always makes me happy. They are kind and smart and strong and feminine and lovely and, best of all, it is obvious to me that they all really cared for each other. Their interpersonal devotion went beyond the quality of the show (which during its first season was way better than the critics gave it credit for). Three attractive and appealing women who really love each other and like each other is something to cheer for as there didn't seem to be a trace of jealousy or resentment to take away from the heavenly trio, they each had lots to contribute to their small group; and the fact that they are fictional characters almost makes it better for me because they will never be a disappointment. Although, as Kate and Jaclyn have both said, the three of them really liked for and cared about each other in real life. There's something magical about chemistry. I never saw the show but you made me want to see it. oh and also i wanna know how u make your cabbage soup. i love cabbage soup. do you add sour cream in it? Hi Nora. I just realized that I didn't answer your question. No, I have never put sour cream in my cabbage soup. Last time I did do something a little different and I put some dill in it. I think it was a nice addition. But I didn't have any dill this time. But it turned out yummy all the same.

Here's my sweet and sour cabbage soup. Ingredients: 4 tablespoons olive or canola oil 1 large onion, chopped 2 lb. bag of carrots I stalk of celery 3 heads of green cabbage 3 Big cans of chicken broth 1 of the large cans refilled to top with water 4 cans of small (8 oz.) tomato sauce I cup of balsamic vinegar 1/2 cup of brown sugar If you have a jar of dill pickles nearby, you might add 2-3 T into the broth. Dill - juice from a jar of dill pickles - goes well with this soup in particular. pepper and salt to taste (personally, I like to use 2-3 T of worchestershire sauce for a little saltiness and for that WS flavor, which does nice things to the soup.) -- Cut up all vegetables in bite size pieces Cook onion in oil for 6-7 minutes Add vegetables, cook in oil for a few minutes, add all the other ingredients. Cover, simmer on medium low for 3-4 hours, until cabbage is very tender. Taste soup and adjust seasoning with more balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, salt and/or pepper, as you like it... 😊 Cabbage Soup!!! Sounds good Mr. D, even if cabbage is farty... ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) If I made for me, I would skip the chicken broth and perhaps tomato sauce and put in fresh chopped tomatoes and\or pureed.
Here is my Pumpkin Soup recipe. Depending on how much you wanna make, I use only 1\2 a large pumpkin and about 5 cups of water:
-half a large pumpkin, cut into chunks. You can leave skin on if you want but wash and scrub well
-2 medium to large new potatoes
-3 or 4 fresh tomatoes chunked
-1 large onion chunked. I like red, sweeter
-2 jalapenos. I take out seeds.
-2 tbsp rice bran oil, or any oil you have
-salt and pepper
- 4 -5 cups of water
Saute chunked onion in heated oil along with jalapeno to get flavor and aroma bursting for a few minutes and then add chunked tomato to soften and combine with onion flavors.
Add pumpkin, potato and water and bring to boil for a few mins. Bring to medium heat to soften vegetables and then turn off heat
When cooled down, use a stick blender to puree and add pepper and salt to taste. Reheat in pot on stove and you may want to add more water depending on consistency. Yum!
Pumpkin soup sounds like something I would like. I've never had it before. I do like butternut squash soup. The only thing is I can't do jalapeno peppers. They're just too hot for me.

Being content sounds like a great achievment not many people can honestly say that so good for you! Well, I've reached a point in my life where I'm certainly not pain free. Which is not surprising considering my youth. In fact, there are times when pain emanates from places I had no idea existed... However, for the most part, it's either endurable or manageable. And if not, I've got really good pain killers in my collection.

The line I quoted is from 1975 "The Stepford Wives" and the zombie housewife says to Katherine Ross and Paula Prentiss - " I know I shouldn't say this, but I just love my brownies." What a fun movie that was. Though Katherine Ross is kind of low energy, acting wise. Paula Prentiss has much more spirit to me.

Here are 3 Masculine Angels that are much more appealing:
They are cute boys, Toasted Cheese. They could stand for a little fuzz around their navel parts!
